Seriously, disappointed! From the moment you entered the hotel, there was loud music. The music played throughout the night into the early hours of the morning. There was no sleep to be had. If you are looking for a peaceful vacation site, this place ain’t it! Save your money!

I’ve not had the best experience since being here. During check in I was told that our room had been “upgraded” since the room I initially booked was somehow unavailable. Well the room was an upgrade, BUT only in size. The new view was/is HORRIBLE. It faces the city, but you’re looking at a recently torn down building. So there is a vacant lot, full of building debris. This wouldn’t be so bad if there weren’t construction crews working to remove the debris starting around 6 AM. I’ve gotten no sleep. To make matter worse it rained yesterday which leaked into the building in several public spaces. There were several walkways compromised due to the rain water, we are on the 4th floor and have to take an alternate route to and from our room as the direct pathway to the elevator was completely covered in water. Navigating to and through the main open areas of the lobby was challenging because of the water. I am completely dissatisfied with my experience. This was my first time in Puerto Rico and being woken up at 6 AM to the sound of machinery is not my idea of vacation. For the price of this reservation I expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, although the location is great and the place looks good, I would not stay here again nor recommend this place to anyone.

I really like this hotel, this was my second time staying here, and I will stay here again. I'm a Marriott Gold member and requested an early check in. My daughters and I arrived around 1 pm. The man that checked us in was really charming and welcoming. We were checked in and upgraded to a very nice one bedroom suite. The hotel is very clean and pretty. I went to Aroma every day and Loved! Loved! Loved! the coffee and service. The first morning I asked if there was a convenience store in the hotel because my older daughter forgot her tooth brush. A woman working the counter offered to go to housekeeping while I waited for my coffee to be made. She grabbed one for me which I thought was really impressive as she could have just told me to call housekeeping myself. My only regret is that I forgot to buy some coffee to take home. Pool and pool bar service was great, staff at pool very friendly. Staff at beach bar were also great, even though it was pouring rain that afternoon. They were laughing and making the best of it, and we all had fun in the rain. The grounds were well kept and I even won $800 on a slot machine in the casino. The female security detail at the entrance to the casino carded my 18 year old daughter, and she was very professional and polite about it and didn't make my daughter feel uncomfortable (which has happened with security elsewhere). The valet service is awesome. Valet attendants are attentive, quick and friendly. I don't think I ever wait more than a few minutes for my car, which is impressive, because they were constantly busy at that desk. The driveway to pull in is on a busy street and it's not very big, but they kept things moving and they were all super nice about it. Two critiques: the service at the lobby bar can be slow, and the bartenders aren't always that pleasant, even when it's not that busy. Also, I thought The Loft price for the breakfast buffet was overpriced for what was offered on the buffet. It's $44 for the buffet. Usually hotel buffets in this price range are much larger and have more variety. Overall, a great stay!

My wife and I stayed here for 7 days in one of the suites with the ocean view balcony and hot tub. Everything in the room was clean and ready for us when we checked in, including the hot tub which was perfect for nighttime and early morning (too much heat during the day!). The resort was easy to navigate and near lots of great restaurants. Loved the adults only pool, we didn’t even bother to try the other one because we liked it so much. Staff at the pool and pool bar weee great, food was solid (get the ceviche!). Didn’t love the casino layout but didn’t let that impact our trip or this review. I will say that I think the lobby bartenders could have been more friendly compared to their pool based counterparts. Outside of that, we had no complaints and had a wonderful stay!!

Everything was great until check out. During our entire stay we didn't charge anything to the room. If we had drinks, we paid with CC. at checkout we found out that there was a $300+ room charge for dinner from the in house restaurant. We never ate there. When we looked at the bill, it had my name but no room # and a fake signature.. im assuming that one of the bartenders got my name from CC and had passed it to someone to use. Very disappointing La Concha..this bill should have never been processed without verification

Had no idea they had a nightclub where they played music until 4 a.m. We were on the sixth floor and could still hear and feel the bass of the music. If you're interested in a decent night's sleep, I highly recommend not staying at this place. I followed up with Marriott International who contacted the La Concha......the front desk manager at La Concha sent me an underwhelmingly lame response which confirmed they really don't care. If I could give this hotel negative stars, I'd do it.

I stayed at the La Concha Renaissance April 10th-14th for business and then April 14th-16th for pleasure (separate rooms and reservations). Room 1: My room for the week was located in the "cabana" building which is a two story building overlooking the pool. Pros: The condition of the room itself was adequate. There were definitely some signs of wear and tear but overall for hotel in a locale that is constantly hit with hurricanes it was in decent shape. The balcony was nice. All the pool areas are nice and there are over three to choose from . The main pool area as well as the lobby bar get quite noisy during the day and are an absolute zoo from 7PM -12 AM. I don't mind the lively atmosphere but it definitely isn't for everyone. All the staff were exceedingly friendly and courteous, especially considering how understaffed the place is. Cons: Where to being? I guess I should start with the major issues. -Showers: My first room did not have hot water and for the first two days of my stay I was so busy that I did not have time to wait at the concierge desk for 20 minutes to request a repair. When the shower was "repaired" it was lukewarm at best. Our room during the weekend, in the "ocean tower" also had only lukewarm water. -Beds: Some of the least comfortable beds i have slept in ever, particularly disappointing for a supposedly high end chain. The mattresses basically imploded. -Cleaning Service and Cleanliness of the rooms/hotel: Unless I specifically flagged down the cleaning lady my room would not get cleaned. In the ocean tower, despite flagging down the lady and speaking in both english and spanish she never came to our room and I ended up having to take towels from downstairs. I also had roaches outside our room and one in our room. -Items Lost/Stolen: I left my sunglasses (Ray-Ban Wayfarers) in my room and realized maybe 2 hours after checking out on friday. I went to the front desk agent who made a 20 second call and determined they don't have them. Although I was told that someone went to the room and searched I am highly skeptical given experience with the cleaning staff. -Food: I only ate at two of the restaurants, the poolside grill and the sushi place. Both were mediocre and the sushi place was unbearably slow. Food and drinks are incredibly overpriced. Miami prices in a San Juan locale. Overall the stay was a major disappointment and did not live up to the Bonvoy name, much less the supposed "premium" level the Renaissance brand is slotted at. Would not recommend for business or pleasure.

We are gold and platinum elite Marriott Bonvoy members. We stay at La Concha Renaissance almost every time we go to Puerto Rico. We have been going to Puerto Rico at least 2-3 times a year for 19 years. We love the island and people. With that being said, we never get an upgrade being gold and platinum members at La Concha. It is a beautiful hotel with exceptions. The hotel does not have an elite desk. We have to wait in a long line with people who are not members. We frequently get a room at La Concha that does not have a working TV, no chairs on the balcony, or a very small run down room in desperate need of renovation . But if you stay at the San Juan Marriott just down the street they have an elite desk, we get an upgrade, and are treated as valued members of the Marriott frequent guest program. So, if you want to be rewarded for your Marriott Bonvoy membership stay at the San Juan Marriott on Ashford Avenue.

This was a terrific resort hotel that met every need we had for a great vacation. Service was terrific. As a Marriott Elite member, they gave us a wristband to identify ourselves but staff went out of their way to address us. Shoutout to the beach attendants who set up chairs and umbrellas with a smile. (Don't forget to tip them!) And you don't pay extra for them. We never had a problem getting a seat by the pool or beach and this was a busy April vacation week. The room we had was huge. It was a suite with couch, minifridge and even a microwave. The bathroom was also quite large with a huge soaking tub. Would've loved a little more water pressure or hot water but overall, it worked very well. The bed was particularly comfortable with great pillows too. A rare find in a hotel. The breakfast buffet at the Loft cafe was a great start to each day. The omelet station was full of good stuff but the breads/muffins were top notch. And with different fresh juices each day. It's location can't be beat on Condado beach. Great to walk around and great to get Ubers to Old San Juan and different places. Highly recommend. Checked all the boxes for us!

We stayed for three nights and really liked this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The work desk was very efficient and comfortable to work from. I felt refreshed each morning. With all the restaurants close by, we never needed our car after work. A definite plus was the walk on the beach, right outside the hotel. Can’t wait to come again.
