We stayed here for 3 nights over the busy Memorial Day Weekend. We had 2 reservations (one for a free night+1 for 2 paid nights), and the front desk was able to join our reservations, although the computer system never seemed to figure it out (we had to get a new key the afternoon on the second night). The staff were friendly and accommodating and the bartender, Carlos, was great! Although the hotel was very bustling with banquets and a high school prom, we never heard noise in the room. Breakfast was standard Hyatt Place; wish they offered some sort of pastry, though. Pool area was large and had lots of loungers and a fun-looking waterslide contraption, but the pool bar was not open while we were there. The hotel offered a free shuttle service to a beach and to Old San Juan that was quite convenient and useful. It is also fairly equidistant between the airport and Old San Juan. Restaurants are a 10–15-minute walk away either at Distrito T-Mobile or Ave Ponce de Leon. We were given an accessible room that was very spacious and well appointed. The pillows and bed were comfortable and air conditioning effective. There were 2 bottles of water and a nice coffee set up with Puerto Rican coffee. Two minor quibbles with the room: 1) the shower curtain was not effective at keeping water off of the bathroom floor. Friends who stayed in a standard room said they only had a shower with a door, but our accessible room had a tub. And 2) the room always seemed a bit dusty/fuzzy-at first I thought the sheets were dirty, but the bed was clearly made and seemed unslept in, and the floor needed to be vacuumed. Hyatt Place San Juan was a nice hotel with great staff. From the receptionists, housekeeping and breakfast staff, everyone was very friendly and provided excellent service. One of the elevators was out of order one day but the maintenance staff had it back operational within a few hours.

i am giving them a 5. the place was nice , the staff were great, very attentive and helpful. Pro: breakfast was great, clean place, staff were nice, great workout equipment in the gym, pool area was amazing. great location (walked 35 minutes to Cayo caribe restaurant) there are bikes and scooter all over. very good time. Con: i was in a 2 queen bed room and the sheets were not changed the entire time that we were there (4 days sund to wed). there were some makeups foundation on the sheets "from my face" an it was pretty noticeable, they just tidy the sheets real nice every day. my husband and i slept 2 days on one bed and 2 other day in the other bed. we did not say anything about it, but in other hotels that we go to, the sheets are changed if they look dirty. i also figured if we did say something, maybe something would have been done. but we did not. overall great hotel an we would go again.…

The hotel is relatively newer. well kept and clean and was maintained well. There was a high school prom going on the weekend of our stay. The rooms were very well insulated that we did not even hear a knock from the prom party. Centrally located with a complimentary shuttle to old San Juan between the hours of 9 - 5.

Close to the cruise port and convention center so it’s a great hotel for guests boarding the cruise the next day. It’s also great for families with kids since the room has two double beds and one pull out sofa for the kids. The pool has a water slide so kids are having a lot of fun burning off their energy in the pool. Overall hotel is very clean, feels new , lots of amenities, the only few things that left to be desired is the breakfast closes 9:30am on weekdays and 10am on Weekends. Since for long weekend Monday is also a holiday, we thought the breakfast closes at 10am and when we went to the breakfast area around 9:15, there were nothing left and the staff told us they were not going to replenish the breakfast items.

Upon arrival we were given a room that was sub par but as soon as we let the front desk know they switched it immediately which was very nice! The room was spacious and clean. The only issue I had was that the hot water was sub par but after a long day of being outside it was kind of nice lol. The breakfast was delicious as well at the bar cocktails and kitchen menu. Overall we had a great stay!

Despite booking this hotel well in advance (January) for our May stay, we were informed there was no room for us. My family of 4 was traveling to San Juan and booked this hotel because you could get 2 beds and a pull out sofa (my kids don't do great sleeping together), free breakfast and a nice pool with a water slide. Might I add that we had stayed at this hotel previously and recommended it to the family that was traveling with us... They ALSO were denied a room! While in the Orlando airport on our layover from New York, the party traveling with us called the hotel and was told they were moving them (and us) to the Aloft hotel. I was never notified. I called the hotel and explained my disappointment as the "replacement" hotel was not comparable in amenities. I was then told that the Hyatt would cover the cost of the new hotel, refund my payment for the Hyatt and cover the cost of breakfast. This did not happen. When we checked out of the Aloft, we had to pay $51.59 for our breakfast as we only had a $15 credit. We got 2 coffees, 2 juices and 4 breakfasts. The same as we would have gotten for free at the Hyatt, but because they overbooked, we had an added expense. To add to the stress, the Aloft charged our credit card $595.50. We had to call them in the middle of our vacation to get the charge taken off. Upon arriving home, I noticed we were not refunded for the Hyatt stay and called my credit card company (through which I booked the stay) to see if the refund was being processed. They were unaware of the issue and called the hotel. The hotel then denied the refund. I decided to reach out to the hotel myself and was told a manager would be calling me back. I have not heard from the property. I suppose this is less of a review (as I didn't, or rather couldn't, stay at the hotel) and more of a warning should you choose to book a room or even 2. …

hotel is located close to Pan Americano Cruise port, clean and spacious, pleasant and courteous staff esp Gabriel and Natalie, hot breakfast an added bonus and check out time is 12noon gives you extra time, offers free shuttle to Old San Juan sadly NOT to cruise port despite its proximity

We stayed here a few days before our cruise. The free shuttle to the beach and Old San Juan was a plus. The pool is fabulous with a mini waterpark for small kids. Great service, staff, and free hot breakfast.

The Hyatt Place was a perfect choice for me as I attended a conference. The rooms were very spacious and the daily breakfast was definitely a time saver. All of the staff that I interacted with were friendly and professional. This hotel is a 10 min walk to the nearby convention center and T-Mobile District Entertainment Venue; however they do also have a free shuttle that runs regularly throughout the day to these locations as well as the beach and Old San Juan. I would return as a guest again.
