Great attendants, on-site parking, nice room -- everything was very well done, except with the thin curtain, light around the door, and bright light from the A/C unit, it was very light during the night, making it hard to sleep. Everything else was great.

I have stayed in the Hotel Colonial many times and it truly is a beautiful, peaceful place. This time I booked and I had an issue with the reservation because Google had incorrect info and I was saddened that I had to cancel. About 10 minutes after I hung up with the hotel I was on the phone to cancel and the hotel manager called me to let me know she was informed of my issue and had advised the front desk that everything was ok and it all worked out so I was able to keep my reservation. I was so happy because I was close by with family and it was a bit late to start searching for another hotel for 2 nights. Danny (Front desk) was EXCELLENT!! What a pleasant and very professional young man. It was he who contacted the manager to explain my situation and I owe him a debt of gratitude for taking the initiative to try and resolve the issue and allow me to keep my reservation. This hotel is lucky to have him as an employee. Ms Nancy Toro, Hotel Manager is an excellent administrator and also very professional and accommodating. Thank you for saving my reservation Danny, you are truly an exceptional young man and Nancy for your professionalism and prompt attention and resolution. You will fall in love with the quaintness of this hotel. It’s not fancy but it’s simplistic style is very comfortable also very clean and the staff will make it worth your stay. There is even a room with a copula and a nice balcony overlooking the street. Nice to relax in. I love this hotel because of it’s history and its close proximity to the beautiful Mayagüez plaza and Ricomini Bakery (the best) as well as Rex Cream ice cream-Heavenly and sooo Delicious (corn ice cream-sounds odd but a must try) also the coconut is yummy. (2 locations in this area) It is indeed a beautiful piece of Mayagüez history. There is a parking lot in front and in the back of the hotel both with gates. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I always do.

Great location and private parking within walking distance to town. Plenty of nearby restaurants as per the COVID-19 situation permit. The room was small (my fault, should book a queen bed room) and very clean. The staff is very friendly and will tell you the hotel's history. Excellent room cleaning service.

My stay at the Hotel Colonial was very peaceful. My family was accommodated and we had our room upgraded which was very nice of the staff. The only thing there isn’t room service. But other than that, I enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

The positive: central location and parking withing city center and walking distance from the main town square. Maybe I expected more, but the room was very small although clean. The breakfast was nothing but dollar store loaf bread, and jelly and butter. Nothing wrong with that, just so one knows what to expect.

Thanks for staying with us; we appreciate your feedback! Our apologize for the inconvenience. Because the building was formerly a nun convent, our rooms differ in size, despite some can be in the same category. We do recommend to ask about bigger sized rooms (we have those!) directly with us, so you can plan ahead and enjoy better what we do offer. We offered complimentary Continental breakfast until COVID-19 state restrictions which do not allow self service in places who offer food. We do encourage our guests to explore the great gastronomy our city offers, especially walk-in distance, like Ricomini Bakery and other restaurants nearby. At Front Desk we are available 24/7 to meet the needs of our guests. We hope to see you back soon in Hotel Colonial.
