We have a house on the island and decided to have Thanksgiving dinner at the Blue Horizon this year. I regretted the decision so much that the first thing I did when I got him was write this review. Let’s just say the meal wasn’t even close to meeting the standards we are use to, especially given the ridiculous flat fee for the meal. Half the table had the turkey dinner and the other half had filet mignon. The soups were tasteless and filled with salt, the salads had no dressing, the turkey was dry and mash potatoes served cold. The filets, all ordered med rare were served well done as if Stevie Wonder himself was the chef. The best part of the meal was the dinner roll because at least it was served warm. Desert looked promising but since we weren’t served any silverware to eat it, it just sat in front of is for 20 min until we decided it was best to just pay the bill (over $100 a head) and go to the house, where we own an ample supply of silverware. I’m just very disappointed in the entire experience. NOTHING was done at this establishment to make our Holiday enjoyable. I have never felt so ripped off from a dining experience in my life. I’ve had better meals at a Hometown Buffet or a Sizzler. I would NOT recommend this restaurant again to anyone I know on the island or anyone visiting and that’s too bad because the view is amazing.

My girlfriends and I took a college graduation trip to Puerto Rico, and we decided to go to Vieques. When I called Blue Horizon’s number, Lulu picked up, and she was so lovely, sweet, and accommodating! She even gave us a nice rate! Throughout our stay in Blue Horizon, Lulu gave wonderful recommendations for things to do (including going on a Bioluminessence bay tour, going horseback riding, dining at nice restaurants, and etc.), and all of her recommendations were perfect! Thank you Lulu for being so kind, answering all of our questions, and even helping us extend our stay when it was your day off from work! Lulu is the BEST, and Blue Horizon is a wonderful resort to stay at when in Vieques!!! The hotel also has wonderful decor, a high-end restaurant, beautiful beachfront views, and a luxurious infinity pool, we really loved our stay! 1000/10 recommend!

We came for a quick weekend over Memorial Day and were greeted by a welcoming and accommodating staff amid a gorgeous landscape frequently visited by roaming horses. Lou Lou in particular was exceptional every step of the way in making our experience as relaxing as possible, setting up tours, providing personal recommendations from around the island, offering advice for transportation, and checking in anytime we passed by. Ketcha was extremely professional and friendly at the restaurant—always greeting us with a smile and asking about our days. Yan Jimmy went above and beyond at the bar and loved trying out new drinks based on what we told him we usually enjoy. The hotel is small—only 12 cabins—and the vibe is leisurely, so come prepared to relax by the pool and disconnect for a bit. Keep an eye out for the horses that stroll around the property, adding a unique touch to an already idyllic setting.

Went to the inn for Sunday brunch with friends. Firstly, the original owners/founders of the Inn on the Blue Horizon(as they named it) ran an elegant, tightly managed resort. Sadly it is just a shell of a long forgotten dream now. It is neglected and forlorn looking. I feel sorry for people who spend money expecting something exceptional when all they are going to get is a naturally beautiful setting with a few friendly people who are not trained in hospitality and food that is poor quality- like a chain restaurant. The owners certainly do not care about the many hotels they own and are more like absent landlords. It is sad to see this treasure fallen. And sadder that I just spent hard-earned money on overpriced sub-par food.

This was my kind of hotel! There are not many rooms, so it is very intimate. When my boyfriend and I went, there was only one other couple. It was very quiet. Vieques was a stop during our trip to PR, so we only stayed for one night. Lulu was so accommodating and bubbly. She had great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. What I loved the most (besides the gorgeous views) was the horses roaming around everywhere! This place is great and completely unpretentious.
