I had the upstairs ocean view room and honestly I can't wait to stay there again. There was some construction next door during my stay, but after 4pm it was silent. If you're concerned about that just ask before you book, but I'm thinking it can only bode well for future visitors. This room overlooks one, yes, I said one, of the two pools on the smallish property, but it closes in the evening so you only hear the ocean. The other pool stays open all the time if you need a midnight swim. Outside from the balcony of the room, the ocean is raging. It's spectacular. PROS! • Check-in, check-out, and property access in general was super easy, and Christopher is very helpful and polite • It's a 15 minute walk to town, or a 5 minute drive. Free parking. • The bed was very comfortable and I made use of the refrigerator for snacks because restaurants on Vieques don't stay open very late. • Air conditioning was perfect, and easily adjustable for your comfort level. • Bathroom is clean and there are standard toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, body cleanser, two little bar soaps. • Beach towels already in your room • Coffee and drip machine in room, along with a bottle opener that came in handy! • Ice machine downstairs. I love an ice machine. No CONS, not really. Just some random tips for the hotel and Vieques in general. • The rooms have metal doors, so they get hot when the sun hits them, but it's not a problem and doesn't affect the temp of the room, just be aware if you have little ones or leave shoes or a chocolate bar near the door :) • Beach choirs and pool toys available for your stay...I didn't see them but I also didn't ask. • Reception isn't 24/7 if that's important to you. • I don't think there was beach access...but the other side of the island is easily reached by car and the best beaches are over there anyway.

Hotel's Favourite
Hotel has a great location and I loved the view from our room. It is walking distance to downtown Isabella Segundo and to the ferry station, which we took to get back to the main island. My favorite part was the complementary beach chairs and coolers. They really enhanced our enjoyment of the gorgeous beaches on the island. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. They texted an extensive list of suggestions for where to eat, things to do, how to get around, etc after check in. We absolutely loved our time in Vieques and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed in the La Luna de Miel Suite for 8 nights and it was AMAZING. The Ocean views are to die for and the private patio is nice for hanging out in the mornings and evenings. The room, common areas, and pools are very clean and kept up well. The Owners, Carl & Janna are so nice and helpful in giving advice and planning while on the island. Many great recommendations came from them when we were trying to decide on activities for the day. The location is great too - we had a jeep for most of the time we were there, but enjoyed the short walk into town for dinner each night. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and always felt safe (except for a hostile goose in the area-he was pretty mean haha!). Beach chairs and coolers (and an ice machine to fill said coolers with ice) were provided free of charge to use for your beach days, which I don't think is super common on the island - so kudos to Bravo Beach for thinking of the little things that make our vacation even more stress free. Vieques as a whole is a pretty special place and hard to leave..... How much we loved staying at Bravo Beach Hotel made leaving even harder. We're already looking at booking our next trip at Bravo Beach!

We stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it! We stayed across from the main property in the Casa Roja, and the view of the ocean was spectacular. We loved having separate bathrooms for each bedroom and having a kitchen and living area was an added bonus. There was a beautiful huge private terrace outside our room to sit and listen to the waves and take in the view. There was plenty of free parking and snorkel/beach equipment to borrow. Although the beach is not a swimming beach, one of the pools is right up against the beach with a wonderful view. It's walking distance from the main restaurant and shopping area and even from the ferry terminal. The location is fantastic. Vieques and this hotel were the highlight of our trip, and I would stay here again without hesitation.

I like being walking distance from stores and restaurants. You have two choices Isabella or Esperanza . Esperanza is busier and noisier , not saying that is a bad thing . Isabella is on the Atlantic side and ferry side . More of the old city . If you choose Isabella you can not go wrong with bravo beach . Carlos is the best host ever , always a text message away . The views from most of the rooms are stunning . The rooms and clean and well stocked . Two pools and outdoor showers are a nice touch . We went diving each day so it was nice to rinse our gear when we came back each day , then we let them dry on the sun deck over the garden studios . When we decided to stay on vieques longer Carlos did a great juggling act to make sure we had rooms over spring break . Again Carlos is the best .

Great room, lots of space. Pool was perfect. The surrounding town/area is very poor, and looks rough, but we never felt unsafe. Owner provides recommendations (good ones) and is there at the hotel willing to help and engage. Vieques is a wonderful, off the beaten path place to visit, and Bravo Beach is the best place to stay on the island.

Clean, quiet, and peaceful. Our King room overlooked the pool which was right on the edge of the ocean. We've stayed multiple places on this island, and this was far and away the best Oceanside experience. Don't expect to find a beach you can swim at here, but there are plenty of those all over this island. So relaxing to sip a drink in the pool gazing out over the ocean. Perfect way to wind down from a beach day!!

Bravo beach was perfect for our 4 night stay. Its a little bit of a walk from the main restaurant area, i would HIGHLY recommend getting a golf cart. We didn't and some hott days the walk seemed like a lot. The beach and water aren't really the side you hang out on, but i prefer this side of the island due to the congestion and loudness that happens on the other side. The pool views of the ocean are breath taking, the hotel was quiet and nice and the rooms AC and WIFI worked perfectly. Chairs and coolers were available to use which was amazing for the day we spent on the beach. All and all a really great resort, i cant even think of any negatives. Will definitely be returning.

I wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom suites at Bravo Beach Club. The suites were very clean and spacious. There are too beautiful pools (one ocean front) and the staff is VERY responsive and sweet. I recommend doing a longer stay here during hurricane season as the weather can be a little unpredictable and bring your own food to the island. There are full kitchens in the larger suites for you to cook your own food!!

Strange, strange place. The hotel is right on the beach, with a pool lying conveniently btw several rooms and the shore. Great place to lounge and watch the sun go down. But if you want to sip a cocktail while you lounge (or a coffee in the morning)? Better bring your own— the hotel doesn’t offer anything, and the nearest store is a 15-minute walk away. Seems like an easy way for them to make some more money, but 🤷‍♂️. More annoyingly, we stayed four nights and our place was getting kinda nasty by day 3 (can’t flush the toilet paper, so it just accumulates). We texted the manager to ask for the room the be cleaned, and he seemed annoyed, responding “exactly what do you want cleaned?” To be fair, they did ultimately send someone, but we were amused/annoyed by the question. We had a couple other strange interactions with him too (he directed us to a nearby restaurant that served perhaps the worst meal I’ve had in 2 years). Is the hotel awful? No, not at all. The pool is amazing and the rooms are fine. Would I stay there again? Nope.

Response from Janna Halberg, Owner at Bravo Beach Hotel
Responded 8 Aug 2021
Hi Eyrops, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I'm sorry you were disappointed by our lack of food and beverage service. We do not have a restaurant or a bar on-site, as indicated on our website and other online booking sites. In pre-pandemic times, we did offer a light continental breakfast in the morning (buffet style), but have discontinued this service until we feel it's safe for our guests and staff. Same goes for housekeeping - we have not been offering daily housekeeping like we usually would, to limit exposure to our guests and staff during the pandemic. We are happy to exchange towels, change sheets, take out the trash, etc. upon request. I'm sorry you didn't think you could flush the toilet paper... you absolutely can flush toilet paper down the toilet at the hotel. Also, I am interested to know which restaurant you had a bad experience at. If you could email us at info@bravobeachhotel.com and let me know, I'd appreciate it. We make all recommendations based on past positive personal and guest experience. Thank you again, Carl & Janna Halberg Owner/Manager
