good location( looking out at Fort and Park). clean enough. but quite unwelcoming and not “charming” in the least. We were hoping for a flavor of the “old town” and room was stark black and white. bed squeaked, no soap in shower, no sign of Carribean touch. Maybe this is typical of hotels in Fort de France, but no ground floor lobby. Woman at the desk upstairs was friendly.

Small but very nice place to be if you look for a cosy and clean hotel in FdF. Friendly and helpful service, take the rooms streetside, so you can hear the streetmusic from the park opposite the hotel. Generally recomendable !

Great for a weekend escape and wanting to be in the heart of Fort de France. Very welcoming host with a quick check in process. Rooms were clean and very comfortable bed and included coffee machine and a mini fridge with bottled water. Internet was acceptable for the limited time we used it. Lots of places to dine within five minute walk. Parking is not available but was not difficult to find. Will happily return and recommend.

This is not a luxury hotel by any means - just about a dozen rooms named after cities of the world. There is no front desk, valets or special services. You buzz from on the street and you are let in. Small elevator takes you up to the second floor where the office is. First impression may be surprise. My wife and I spent 5 nights there recently and, initially, we were a bit taken aback by the "no frills" atmosphere. However, we ended up being pleased with the location and the attention that we got from the staff - even though our room had no view of area outside the hotel. The hotel is close to the port, restaurants and within walking distance to the shops and stores. As for the staff, Pauline and Nathalie made up for the lack of special amenities with their cheerful approach to dealing with our needs.

I had a short stay at Fort Savane, but I am glad I booked this hotel. The room was very clean, the receptionist was very welcoming and the location was perfect. Right across the street there are a few nice terraces where you can have a really nice dinner. It was also close to the airport which was perfect for me.

Fort Savane is a called residence, but it presents a standard typical for hotels (except it lacks an kind of bar) with e.g. daily cleaning, replacements of towels every few days etc. The staff at the receptions speaks English, while the check in process was quick and without issues. We were leaving the residence out of the reception working hours, but it wasn’t a problem – we just had to leave the key in the box. We chose the Superior Studio. The apartment is quite large, plain, but modern. We liked its style. Upon entry to the studio there is a kitchenet with a fridge, a cooker, a microwave oven, an electric kettle and a coffee machine using Lavazza discs, as well as dishes and cutlery. There’s also a dining table with chairs. The corridor, with an open wardrobe (including a safe box) and a desk, leads to the room with a quite comfortable double bed. The room is also equipped with an air-condition and a TV. We stayed in a room in the corner of the building, thus it has windows facing the nearby street and as well as the Savane park, with the great view on Fort Saint Louis and the sea. The bathroom is also sufficiently large, with an open shower, washing combo gel dispensers and towels. The location of the hotel is very convenient. The main attractions of the city like the cathedral, the covered market, Fort St. Louis, Schoelcher library etc. are all within just few, maximum 10, minutes of walking. There’s the tourist information stand right in front of the hotel and the only beach in the city right next to it. There are various shops and bars (including stands with various food types in the park) nearby, also several banks and the post office, while the Perrinon shopping centre is just few minutes away. For those arriving to Martinique it’s very easy to reach Fort Savane, the stop of the rapid bus connecting the airport with the city is right behind the corner, while the terminal of ferries arriving from other islands (e.g. Dominica) is on the other side of the Savane park. Public transport buses of various lines are departing from the nearby Pointe Simon terminus, as well as ferries to the towns of Trois-Ilets. As for negative observations one has to note that Fort Savane is not the cheapest accommodation option in Fort de France (though it’s also true that the choice is not large). The overall positive image of the hotel is slightly broken by few details: some more attention must be paid to maintenance, e.g. there was large amount of ice in the freezer, so the fridge should be desperately defrosted, while its lamp fixed; a large knife and a chopping board, as well as a drainer for dishes, are missing in the kitchenet; two tea bags per day doesn’t seem to be a very generous offer; the metal hangers, like from the laundry, doesn’t fit to the image of the room. The windows, though double, are not completely sound proof (we experience loud cleaning machines working at night or music playing in the bars in front until late), so one may think of taking ear plugs; those arriving by car may not be able to find the parking place nearby easily and one has to pay to park on streets (there’s a quite big parking at the other side of Savane park along Avenue de Caraibes, but it’s paid also).

Upon checking in there was water leaking through the ceiling light right outside the receptionists office so not a good start. Room was a standard size, the bathroom had issues as although the design of the shower is great you'll end up with a flooded floor as the towels can only soak up so much. The toilet cover at the back was broken, had to deal with cockroaches of all sizes in the bathroom. Management open and close at certain times and no one was available to speak to. Location is good as you're right next to everything. Port is a 5 min walk to get a boat to the beaches, a round trip will cost you €7. Wifi was incredibly slow and note that nothing is open on Sundays plus places open late generally.

As others have pointed out, you'll have to put up with a LOT of noise from the sea front and park over a weekend. Worst night's sleep in a long time. In saying that the staff are really helpful and pleasant. I managed to book my stay for the wrong weekend but the girl on reception was really helpful in correcting it. Nice coffee in the basic room. I did have two resident mosquitos as well but if staying mid week it's a great, safe location.
