Hotel Le Panoramic offers incredible views, a functional kitchenette, and fair prices.

Pros: We ate most of our meals outside to enjoy the wonderful view from our patio. The pool is pretty good and also offers a great view. The hotel is well located and has free parking for guests. The room we stayed in was well designed, there are floor to ceiling curtains you can use for privacy as the doors are glass.

Cons: Our room included only body wash - no shampoo, conditioner, or lotion to be found. We also didn't have a blanket on our bed and were told there were no blankets available when we asked for one. We turned the air conditioning off and didn't get cold but it was surprising.

Misc: Although the kitchen has basic cookware, dishes, cutlery, stove, and oven, you'll need to purchase basic supplies like salt, paper towels, oil, etc. There is a bar or club nearby that plays extremely loud music - it's not terrible when you're inside but maybe bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Breakfast is included on your first morning - we received two pain au chocolat, two croissants, and a demi baguette as well as coffee, milk, and juice in our room. The smart TV includes 10 local channels but no streaming services are included.

Can only say good things about Hotel Panoramic.
Anse d'Ane is a pretty and typical bay in the Southern part of Martinique. It is possible to have day trips to anywhere on the island from this base although the frequent traffic congestion around Lamartin/Fort de France can lead to extended journey times. To visit the North of the island you are advised to get up very early indeed. Obviously you need a rental car and the nature of Martinique tourism makes car rental almost mandatory.
On mainland Europe Hotel Panoramic would be called an aparthotel. The accommodation is excellent, reasonably modern, clean, and comfortable. They are studio apartments with an entirely adequate kitchen and a large living area that both lead out through separate sliding french windows to a balcony large enough for a table with chairs. The balcony is not suitable for a sun lounger, nor is there one, but there is a swimming pool area with loungers a few steps away. The air-con is good, the bed is kingsize and firm. The hotel website is accurate.
A small welcome pack of juice, butter, coffee, jam, milk, sugar is placed in the kitchen for your arrival and fresh baked bread is delivered to your room around 7.30am complimentary on your first morning. This is available (for a charge) every morning by arrangement. The tap water is fine to drink.
The wifi works well and if you are hopeless at tech (like me) the staff will get you logged on.
Some of the apartments have a better aspect/view than others, and have more or less privacy. It is advisable to discuss your preferences with the hotel at the time of your booking to avoid any disappointments.
My one observation of significance is that my emails to the hotel got lost or went to spam. Not only prior to booking but also when I was onsite and forwarding my flight boarding pass which they kindly offered to print for me. It was only when they emailed me that my replies appeared on their system. This is frustrating as I would have liked to have booked directly rather than using a travel website to make my reservation.
The staff are all friendly and helpful. I have no reservations about giving this destination a 5 star review.

We stayed at Le Panoramic as part of out New Year trip to Martinique and Barbados in Jan 2023. We loved the hotel and its rooms. it is located on a hill with a view of the beach, the pier and the hills surrounding the lovely town. The rooms are very clean and have good layout and most of them have wonderful private balconies and well equipped. there is no restaurant at the premises however there are plenty of grocery shopping options and there are restaurants by the lovely beach 5min walk down the hill. We have driven to all main places and tourist attractions in Martinique and see this hotel as one of the best options to stay on the island provided that you have your own car (rented car) as the village is relatively far from the capital city and northern part of the island and tricky to access via public transport. Also be aware of traffic jams on motorways around and close the airport and plan at least 45min to drive from the hotel to the airport by car / taxi. We also liked the ferry which serves the village and the capital cisty of FDF and other nearby resorts every 30min for EUR7 return.

Although I loved our room at Hotel Le Panoramic (I think it was #305), I overlooked certain amenities when I booked. This hotel caters to guests who like to cook in or self-serve. First off, there is no restaurant, bar or breakfast service. The French pastries offered on arrival were a nice touch. Being located high on the hill with a great view of the bay, you definitely need a car for touring. We didn't know this and were unaware cabs or Ubers were non-existent. Luckily, Monique was a godsend in getting us a car for our stay. Throughout our stay, she was very helpful and professional. Since I was ill during our stay, I found it exhausting to negotiate the long steep walk to the nearest beach and restaurants. If the hotel wishes to appeal to American or older tourists, they might want to offer shuttle service. And it would have been nice to get a cold beer or beverage without making a shopping trip. Possibly a self-serve bar/refrigerator with a honor system could be initiated. The hotel is very nice, but I probably would book near one of the beaches for my next visit.

Very nice and quiet location, view on the bay (but not by the sea). Services (supermarket, boulangerie, tabac shops) in a walking distance.
Clean apartments, with furniture in good condition.
Very kind and helpful people at reception.
The kitchen is well equipped except for basic things such as salt, oil, sugar (provided only upon request).
Hairdryer upon request.
Very kind to give us late checkout free of charge: much appreciated.

We stayed at Le Panoramic for 7 days and it was just lovely. The room with kitchen was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed and the view from our bungalow was amazing! Everyone at reception was extremely friendly and incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We can only recommend this place to anyone who is looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing with a real family atmosphere. Hiring a car is essential if you want to get around and explore. The boat service to Fort to France is really convenient, too. Thanks for making our stay so memorable!

We just got back from a one week stay at Hotel Le Panoramic.
Everything was good to great!
Our room was #305 with a breathtaking view of the beach below & Fort De France.
Our room was absolutely immaculate with King Bed, Rain shower head, and fully stocked kitchen.
The first breakfast is free and the croissants were great.
There is a Carefour supermarket at the bottom of the hill for all your grocery needs!
The hill you have to climb down and back to the beach is very steep and not easy, but we got used to it by week's end.
The welcome reception was just okay with peanuts, chips, and cold snacks ...but the rum they served was bottomless and very good!
The hotel pool was clean with amazingly beautiful gardens surrounding it!
The Ferry over to Fort De France is visible from the hotel, it only costs 7 Euros return trip...when you get to Fort De France go to the Library right away and get a free sight map that will ensure you hit all the right spots.
Great Vacation, Very French ( we speak a bit of French), very classy...be sure to get a great priced bottle of Bordeaux, and slab of cheese from Carefour supermarket, request our room #305 (very private and an end unit), enjoy the night view looking down at the Beach...and thank me later!!!!

My daughter and I traveled here from VA, USA for some beach time before the holidays! The property is/has a spectacular view, very friendly staff, quiet, peaceful, very nice accommodations, clean, very nice full kitchen, close to the beach, and restaurants, very lovely hotel, No complaints here!
We rented a vehicle from the airport, although the hotel has rental vehicles available. In order to see the island (beaches, museums, shopping etc) a rental car is a must! Very friendly locals, felt "safe" throughout the island! Brush up on your French!!! Have fun!

Location **** (out of max five). Ca 10 min walk up the hill above the beach Anse à l’Ane (Trois Islets). There are several restaurants on the very nice sandy beach, a supermarket, a gas and a bus station in the village. Boat shuttle from Anse à l’Ane to downtown Fort de France (30 min).

Room. ***** (out of max five). Wonderful bay view. The room is functional and has a small kitchen where you can cook some small dishes. Very nice terrace.

Infrastructure, Service (internet, reception, pool etc): *** (out of max five). Nice pool. Very nice garden. Weak, unsafe internet. Max three devices with the same user ID can login. Internet shut down at 10 pm!!

Breakfast. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel. Fresh bakery can be ordered and are delivered at the reception every morning.

Overall rating. **** (out of max 5). Good hoitel but downgrade because of weak internet.

This was our 4th attempt to visit Martinique and every time we tried, and wanted to split our stay between 2 different areas/hotels on the island, it was Le Panoramic that was our starting point - greatly to the useful reviews the fellow members left here, so for that thank you! This is a great, clean, safe and cozy place with a convenient location to visit beaches, restaurants and explore the south of Martinique - or just chill and enjoy the views from your individual balcony/patio and do nothing too!

Location: roads are perfect in Martinique, absolutely best ones we had experienced in the entire Caribbean region and we have been to and driven on almost every single island - take that into consideration as you may split your stay like we did but you can easily stay just here and explore the entire island from here - something I didn't imagine when we were planning/booking this trip. The drive is supper easy from FDF airport - about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the traffic slow downs on the roundabouts (usually in the morning). This region of the island is abundant with many beaches vs. the north of the airport with distilleries/farms/plantations/parks/hiking etc. but there is still plenty to do here and like I said driving is easy so you can do day drips on your own to the farthest part in the north and explore that area even from here. The hotel is located on a hill and while the nice gentleman at the lobby discouraged us from walking up and downhill we actually enjoyed that "little" workout every night to go down to the beachfront and have a Ti Punch and some accras :) There is also an excellent pastry/bakery Pom'Kanel (created separate profile/review here on TA) that you can pick up fresh goods in the morning also walking distance but I recommend driving for that - next door to it is also Carrefour Express (smaller version with limited hours of the big chain) that you can buy anything you may need while on vacation. There is also of course the beach and a ferry dock that takes you to Fort de France if you don't like driving - haven't utilized either as we drove around a lot but if you don't like doing that then you can easily spend your time here in this small region as it's absolutely a full package region (it's somewhat similar to the Pointe du Bout but not as crowded and much fewer business, thus more peaceful and relaxing, at least that was my impression). The person at the front desk speaks good English but be prepared to translate a lot while on the island, we speak multiple languages but French isn't one of them and it was a very challenging 2 week trip to 2 both hardcore French (not to confuse with super touristy and popular among English speaking people St Martin (the French side, not the Dutch St Maarten) and St Barthelemy, we had been to both before and are speaking from experience) islands where nobody (especially on Martinique) other than people at hotels and maybe once or twice at a restaurant spoke English... but hey we made it and this Martinique trip was one of the best ones of my life!

Room: I want to say our room was 308 and called Flamboyant - it was right under the hotel parking street level (not the one uphill) and we absolutely loved it. It was away from the walking paths as the path ended at our room, also it wasn't on the way to the swimming pool or by the pool overlooking it - further providing more tranquility and intimacy (we would only have neighbors sharing the wall with us but during our 4 nights no one stayed there). The A/C was good, though only working with the key card in the wall, but blowing into the bathroom so we would close the bathroom door normally to bounce the cold air into the room instead - somewhat a weird placement but we made it work, and I still preferred it this way rather than what most hotels do blowing directly on your face at night on the bed :) the bed was great, big and comfy and the pillows were decent. Every room, I believe, comes with a full kitchen and a starting package of juice, milk, coffee and other small items - this became super useful as we ended up making our own coffee every morning thanks to that milk and the juice ended up in our homemade rhum cocktails in the evening :) Every room has a view, its own balcony/patio with a table and chairs - outstanding value. The bathroom was modern and clean. Safe present in the room, so was the cable TV, in French only, that was probably the only room for upgrade - I would imagine having smart TV by now or something like Roku (next time I will bring my own since its USB powered and HDMI connected) to allow people who don't speak French (we don't) access Netflix or Prime etc. - not a terrible thing since we had other things to enjoy in the evening, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly fine so browsing things on the phones to plan out the days etc. wasn't affected

Hotel Grounds: The hotel grounds are fairly big but the actual walking paths aren't - its due to its location and structure - it's basically a few levels of rooms on a hill, with the check in/lobby being located in the very building coming off the "main road" into the hotel road/parking area - from here there are 1 or 2 levels up and 2-3 or even 4 levels below - everyone having access to great views and surrounded with lush and beautiful greenery - very pleasant and cozy. There is a breakfast restaurant adjacent to the parking lot but during our "still COVID" November 2021 stay it was still closed so I can't speak on that. The swimming pool is located on one of the lower "levels of houses" and has some nice views of the bay as well (not exactly while standing in the water but once you get out of it due to the plants/trees/fences around it.

Beach Options: I have used the swimming pool twice as we normally prefer the beach so to give you some ideas for that; there is a beach after you walk downhill called Anse a L'Ane - it's not the prettiest beach but very convenient. If you are looking for more traditional tropical yellow sand etc. head west to Anse d'Arlet and Anse Deufour (about 15 minutes drive) or of course go to Plage des Salines (Salines Beach) in the very south of the island - about 1h to 1h15m drive each way (reviewed separately). Overall we didn't come to Martinique for beaches but for rhum distilleries and exploring the non-beach spots etc. but if beachfront and yellow sand is a must for you then probably area further down west is for you or the much busier Pointe du Bout with Anse Mitan is a better fit.

Food & Restaurant Options: the first breakfast is free and since the restaurant on the hotel grounds was closed we were brought the basket of pastry goods (very generous volume) that lasted us for 2 days actually :) the milk, coffee, jams, juice also that came with the room made the breakfasts complete - normally I look forward to going out and having a latte/cappuccino at some local cafe but here I was in heaven, after all who doesn't love the French breakfasts with croissants! As mentioned before, after we ran out of the hotel supply of pastry/baked goods we ended up buying ourselves delicious goods from Pom'Kanel boulangerie (bakery) down the hill - it's an essential part of the stay at Le Panoramic, make the most out of that patio and enjoy the breakfasts here! There are plenty restaurants walking distance by the water, some are open some are closed and in this 2nd year of COVID simply not everything goes by the traditional schedule - the one in the region we enjoyed the most was about 10 minutes easy drive at the Pointe du Bout area called Le Ti Taurus (reviewed separately) that we can highly recommend with a clean conscience - otherwise the ones we had we enjoy them as well but it's hard not to enjoying sitting down and chilling with a Ti Punch after full day of exploring of the island so I simply don't want to sound biased :P

Things to do: you know about the beaches in this region of the island... but what Martinique is rich and abundant with is of course the rhum distilleries - we visited 10 of them and I was in heaven as a rum/rhum/ron enthusiast :) in this area of the island you have 4-5 close ones; closest being Trois Rivieres, Le Mauny (visit only if you speak French), Habitation Clement, A1710, Le Favorite - each different and something to offer but probably Clement is the best for non-rhum lovers :) and maybe Trois Rivieres as it's very picturesque with the wind mill. For me a must, after visiting Martinique, are the Memorial Cap (sad and spiritual experience) and very close to it Diamond Rock Vista Point (on google maps look for Point de Vue Rocher du Diamant). There are other places to visit we didn't get to see in this part of Martinique La Savane des Esclaves (Slave Savanah) or Le Musée de la Mer (Ocean Museum) or Maison de la Canne (Sugar Cane "museum") - many places in French West Indies are called museums but I think the word is somewhat confusing as they are usually places that are still producing something or growing something - think more of a "factory/farm tour" quite often - we usually skip museums while traveling but here we have "visited quite a few museums" :) - if you are interested in the northern region I would say Rhum JM distillery was my absolute fav in the 10 distilleries we visited - and that is probably the farthest point you may end up driving - all manageable and in a single day + activities + stops for lunch etc :)

Overall: this was our favorite hotel in our 2-week trip between Martinique & Guadeloupe (a total of 4 hotels) - mainly because it was the most peaceful and relaxing experience, probably it could have been a bit different if we had someone else staying also next door to our room and not have the patio front just to ourselves, but we did and having breakfasts on that patio or enjoying the views of the bay area in peace and serenity in the evening are one of my best memories from our time Martinique.

Highly recommended, would definitely stay again here if we ever return to Martinique!
