It's hard to describe the most picturesque place I've ever been. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Cottage in the Sky and it felt like living in a cloud at the top of the world. Magical. If the setting wasn't perfect enough, the owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. One of the best parts was being served a home-cooked...

El Momo is amazing. At almost the top of Saba island, you'll find tranquility, peace, clouds and clouds. Yes, the steps (60!) to the office seem daunting, and if you choose to stay at cottage in the sky (60 more) you might need a beer break at the honor bar, but what this place lacks in horizontal consistency it makes...

Wonderful, rustic, romantic accommodation. Andreis is a good host with charming stories and great recommendations. Cottage in the Sky was romantic and secluded, although be aware of the stairs! Highly advise you use a backpack rather than traditional luggage while visiting Saba, but particularly at this hotel. The pool was terrific and the views are better here than any other...

I totally agree with other reviewers, it's like camping but better. Yes there are insects, but you are in nature, it's to be expected; I had not one mosquito bite, which is more than I can say for some other nicer places I've stayed. We had a shower issue our first night, but it was corrected immediately by Andries. It's...

When choosing our facility for the nights on Saba we stumbled upon El Momo. We were in for simple, charming, close to the shops and far away enough from the shops at the same time! We came from St Maarten, we were in for peace! We also wanted a warm shower and electricity. So.. El Momo! When we booked we...

The owner Andries is a very friendly host, with a good(our) sense of humour. He can and will arrange anything you like (taxi's, bookings in restaurants,...) The houses are excellent for people who appreciate nature and don't need hairdryers, airconditioning, tv, etc. Like somebody wrote; camping in the rainforest! Indeed. And we liked it a lot. The view, the sounds,...

I can see why some people either love or hate this place. I LOVED it. It was a week of living in the rainforest, sights and sounds of nature all around me at all times. So if you are squeamish or don't like nature, this is not the place for you... in fact, Saba is probably not the place for...

Absolutely LOVED my stay here! I wished I had stayed here longer! What a welcome relief especially after I had an awful 2 night stay elsewhere. What I loved: From pretty much wherever you are, you have an amazing vista...into infinity....the sky, the ocean, and the hills. It really just takes your breath away. Even my bathroom had a GORGEOUS...

I stayed at El Momo for a few days. The place is just beautiful, providing great views and a nice atmosphere. As Saba is a small island, the guests (and the owners) have to live with some particularities like: You are really in touch with nature, so you may meet (harmless) animals on the site, you will enjoy using rainwater,...

Absolutely awful. Very unkempt and poorly managed. Needs landscaping as the rainforest is taking over. Lacks screens on Windows resulting in a large bug infiltration each day and night. Standing water in shower with breeding mosquitos. No soap in the bathroom. No access to drinking water. Ants crawling all over toilet!!! It was so disgusting we cancelled our stay, at...

Dear Juls, El Momo Cottages was clearly not the place for you. Thankfully you found another place on the island that suited you better; obviously as you pay triple the amount as what you would pay for El Momo, you will have more amenities. We try our utmost to explain to our guests what they can expect. In our messages...

Peace - Nature - Silence. Nature lovers who enjoy priceless amenities of tropical flowers, palm trees and hammocks overlooking a deep blue sea and warm hospitality will find El Momo to be the perfect retreat. It's small, quiet, charming and a little "Robinson Crusoe like"; A little piece of paradise where time moves slowly and attention is paid to details.
