Chose the Bel Jou for a spot of relaxation and did not disappoint. Service is second to none from the front of house and the staff you do not see, always a welcome hello and how are you with a smile makes you feel at home. Food was amazing even though a small hotel and I am a bit fussy never had a day where I was going to go hungry with a big choice of dishes. Two pools top one by the afternoon restaurant and bar that serves great cocktails and the lower slightly quieter pool with a self serve bar with either Piton or Heineken on tap or a selection or rum vodka and gin with mixers The guests at the Bel Jou are various which is a good thing expect parties from the Island and traveler’s from neighbouring Trinidad etc which brings a great variation of culture all very friendly and informative. We had a Garden Bungalow which had great location just behind the afternoon restaurant very quiet and comfortable with large walk in shower air con and comfortable bed with lots of storage space. No hotel is perfect and a couple of issues we found was when wet the steps to the lower pool and garden view rooms is a tad slippery and even though the views are outstanding it is a good walk down to the town and a mountain climb back but there is a free shuttle bus back and forth but does not run on two days of the week Sundays and one more. Entertainment is a little hit and miss with the program repeated every week so if there for two weeks you will see the same acts week after week If you are looking for a holiday to de stress and reset the batteries the Bel Jou is for you but if you want all out party try somewhere else

We stayed for 8 nights- our first all inclusive experience. In principle I am not a fan of buffets as it hard to maintain temperature and quality. Having said, all dishes very tasty and plenty of choice. Breakfast excellent, cocktails excellent. The aspect that made this hotel special is however the staff. Outstandingly friendly and efficient service across all areas. Thank you Andrea, Sam, Lyndon, Kisha, and lots more.

We went to the Bel Jou August 28 to Sept 11 th, we had a garden bungalow room, It was updated, clean and very quiet, yet close to everything. Food was fantastic, breakfast, lunch and dinner, so tasty with beautiful presentation and a wide variety of selection to choose from. All staff were professional and more then accommodating to any request or questions we might of had. There is no store or shops on site of this hotel but a short prebooked shuttle to town will find you everything you need, Thanks to the Hotel manager Dean for his continous daily visits to each and every guest making sure all your needs were met, Amazing views, amazing staff and amazing new friendships were made, Thank you Bel Jou for everything, We will return.

From the very moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Perched high above Castries with great view over to the sea and the city. We stayed in one the garden bungalows just a very short walk to one of the two pools at the hotel. All the staff were very friendly with a special shout-out to Samantha, Princess, Kisha, Nayarit, Shantel, Verkesha, Jaffrey. All of the staff were wonderful and very attentive. The Bel Jou was everything we wanted and imagined. From the well kept gardens and the two great pools to the comfortable rooms.

First and foremost a big congratulations to Bel Jou for creating such an amazing resort. Your rooms, your restaurant and buffet was just fantastic. But with staff like Samantha, Kesha (room service), Kasha and many others whose names I did not remember, it was 10/10. Obviously, the staff are big part of the resort. Gurjit Singh and Neil Grayson

Visited Bel Jou for a 10 day break with my wife and had a fantastic stay. From the warm welcome on arrival through to the very reluctant departure at the end of the stay, we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. ALL the staff were fantastic and a credit to the hotel - from Dean as General Manager through the whole team, they bent over backwards to make us feel relaxed and looked after us really well. The daily activities especially the Aqua Aerobics most mornings were really enjoyable. The food was fantastic as well with plenty of variation especially in the buffet and we never had the same meal twice (unless we wanted to - the lasagne was brilliant and we have that twice!!). Drinks were plentiful and always good. Rooms were kept clean and the whole hotel was clearly well maintained (especially the man going round painting pretty much every day somewhere on site). Our return to the UK was very reluctant and St Lucia and the Bel Jou especially are definitely on our bucket list to return to in the future. Our thanks to the whole crew for a brilliant holiday.

Upon arrival at this hotel we were greeted by Stasia who is very welcoming and bubbly. The place is amazing. We loved the pools and spent most of our time there. The entire resort and the pools were always kept clean. Shoutout to Stasia , Mikey, Tana, Kima, Natari and the GM who were all wonderful.

We stayed in one of the garden bungalows for 12 nights in August. If you really want to spend lots of time on your balcony then upgrade to the main hotel block with a sea view, but for privacy, quiet and luxury stick to the bugalow! You can see the views everywhere around the hotel anyway. Because the hotel is only at probably half capacity the a la carte restaurant isn't open currently. Instead they offer the buffet some days and table service a la carte menu in the buffet restaurant on other days. All food we tried was so tasty however we did feel the occasionaly the choice was limited. The buffet tended to be totally themed which if you didn't really like that theme, it could be a bit trickier to find something you fancied, and the a la carte ran the same menu three times during our stay, but with only 5 choices that also limited your choice. The service is defiinetly what makes this hotel extra special. Dean the Manager has created an incredible team from Mikey & Quincey who are maintenance but also run as the porters and were a font of knowledge. The hospitality staff all work in the restaurant, bar and cabana and couldn't do enough for you. Big shout outs to Samantha, Andrea, Devon, Princess, Kashia, Keisha, Shanel, Cyprian and many more. Literally nothing is too much trouble with all of these! The gardens are maintained every day as are the buildings and every where felt spotlessly clean. We made an amazing set of friends during our time and would go back in a heartbeat!

My wife and I recently stayed at Bel Jou for a couples trip. The hotel is exactly what we wanted. It’s the perfect balance of great food, friendly people (Shoutout to Princess!), incredible views and a resort experience. The views speak for themselves (check out pictures attached), but the newly renovated rooms were VERY clean and comfortable. We had an ocean view and it was the perfect place to watch a sunset. The food truly sets this hotel apart. In many of my resort experiences, I’m stuck having some rendition of American cuisine (or what resorts think we might want in a specific international cuisine). At Bel Jou, we always had the opportunity to eat traditional St. Lucian meals. There was always other fare available, but we loved the traditional meals. In addition, all the food was prepared fresh and you could tell great thought and care was put into every dish. While the beautiful views prevent the hotel from being directly on a beach, there is a very short ride down to a beautiful beach. So don’t let this deter you from booking Bel Jou. We will definitely be back!!!

I stayed at this hotel in a lovely garden bungalow overlooking one of the pools. The hotel is located outside the main tourist area in Rodney Bay in Castries. However, this was perfect for me because I was looking for a drama-free relaxing break in this adult only hotel. There is a hotel shuttle bus to the beach and the Castries area. The hotel has COVID-19 measures in place which I appreciated and conformed to in the eating areas to make everyone feel safe. There was lots of food and drinks available with different options. I was happy with the self service drink availability at the pools. The staff were very friendly and happy to help; they did not make me feel self conscious about traveling alone.. It rained most days as I would expect during the rainy season, but this generally only lasted for a short time. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for an unpretentious, down to earth all inclusive hotel away from the busy crowds. If you are looking for pampering and luxury, stay at Sandals. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I'm planning to return next year with friends and family.
