The view from our room across to turtle bay really made this hotel for us. The room is very comfortable and nice kitchen area with shops close by to you just a five minute walk up the road to the supermarket. I would recommend you hire a car if you stay at this property The room was nice enough and the pool was basic . The beach is literally as you open your door and the only downside to this property is the proximity of the road behind you. But it is on the same stretch as the sandals resort and a few other resorts. For self catering in St Lucia it was nice

If your are service professionals, like ourselves, and you go on a holiday, you want to receive service on the same par, or even higher. We where visiting our family on the island. I visit Saint Lucia sinds the 1980’S, and this is the first time we have a stay here. We needed a second home to that of our family on the island. Villa Beach Cottages was near, and had a perfect price to quality ratio. After meticulous studies online, we found our second home on Saint Lucia. A few previous guest, that expected a extreme high level of service, had unrealistic expectations. They do not understand that, other cultures give hospitality in a different way. Villa Beach Cottages is a diamond, with a few rough edges. Nothing is perfect, and yes, their are a few minor details that could be designated as flawed. But one thing brings all of that together: Genuine service from the hart, through a smile. And believe me, that is the unique selling point of the Villa Beach Cottages. Their are other Resorts with more perfection and less smiles. And they charge 3 times the price of this hidden gem. My pictures are the proof. Thank you so much for a unforgettable vacation. And creating a home near our family home. Adrian and Patrick

I have just returned from a week long stay at Villa Beach Cottages. Overall, our stay was good but nothing spectacular. I will break everything down in sections below. PROS -Our Villa was very spacious and located on the top floor, making for a great view of the water. -It was not crowded at all. We enjoyed not having to listen to screaming kids or drunk partiers. -The grounds were very well kept. Someone was always tending to them. -We enjoyed having a kitchen that was fully stocked with plates, bowls, pots, pans, and utensils. We cooked at least once every day. -Most of the staff members are friendly and fun to talk to. Joel and Paul were precious. -It was nice being able to charge taxis to the room. Ask for Claudius or Popo. -It was nice being able to call the front desk and have them make a reservation for you. -You do not have to go to a doctors office or hospital to get your Covid test. They will do it for you the evening before you leave. $75 US per person. -On Friday, we went on a trip with Julian’s Boat Tours. He was set up at Sandals, which is where we loaded and unloaded. This was nice. -The Wifi internet was good most of the time. Loaded very well by the pool and on our balcony. CONS -The location is horrible. I wish we had done more research and realized this before. Only 2-3 restaurants are in walking distance, one being a coffee shop and the other KFC. And that is if you want to walk in the grass on the side of the road with traffic flying beside you. You had to take a taxi everywhere. $10 to the market, $15 to the coffee shop, $30 to any restaurant, $90 to the airport. -The resort is located right on the highway. We were in a two bedroom and the back bedroom with two beds was so loud. I woke up several times during the night and it took a while to fall asleep sometimes because the highway was so loud. The traffic noise was so loud it could be heard in the front bedroom as well, even over the sound of the waves and a fan. The roof was metal so when it rained, it sounded like a hurricane was coming. -If you are looking for a resort feel, do not stay here. You will not be pampered at all. You have to move your own chairs, carry your wet towels and cushions, and do everything yourself. Soaking wet towels and cushions are heavy!! -Our villa was not properly cleaned upon arrival. It is obvious that when you stay by the ocean, it’s not going to be perfectly clean. However, our baseboards were dirty, shelves were dusty, and the floor had not been swept in places. It needed a deep cleaning. -When we arrived, we were told nothing. I have never stayed somewhere where we are not told anything. For example, where to get beach towels, suggestions for the area, resort/condo info, and more. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and were not oriented until late Tuesday afternoon. -We encountered a few rude staff members, specifically some of the girls at the front desk. When we were finally oriented, we weren’t told a few specific things and later in the week when we asked or didn’t know, one of the ladies made a comment about how that was so hard to believe. One day we somehow ended up with 2 towels each (btw you only get 1 each and good luck getting 2) and when we went to trade them out, one of the ladies was just appalled that we had more than 1 each. Smartelic and down right rude comments were a regular. -The kayaks, paddle boards, and ocean equipment items are NOT free. You will get laughed at if you think they are. Very deceiving on the website. -The beach is small and public. There is no room to put chairs or towels. If you walk to the left, you may step on glass. If you walk to the right, you may get yelled at by a Sandals employee even though it’s public. I am a young adult and had several young local men pretty much harass me. One kept asking for my number. One was asking for money and finally had to be ran off by security. SUMMARY We enjoyed our week in St. Lucia at Villa Beach Cottages. If we return to the island, we will check out an all inclusive. We enjoyed the condo style, but for the period of the we stayed, an all inclusive would have been better. We met several people who were staying a month. If you are interested in that, you may enjoy it more.

We spent 8 nights here at the end of February and enjoyed our stay very much. We had a 2 bedroom top floor villa which had a beautiful balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Waking up each morning in the master bedroom with the door open was magical. The daily sunsets were also a highlight of our stay. Colin and his staff were very helpful and offered good suggestions for activities and restaurants. The only recommendation I would make is that the living and kitchen area were somewhat dated and could use a refresh and it would have been helpful to provide some basic necessities (paper towels, salt). Otherwise highly recommend!!

Castries is a city, but when you stay at Villa Beach Cottages, you are removed from the city and are on the water. The owner, Colin, is extremely helpful in recommending places to tour and arranging trips and reservations at restaurants. All taxi drivers were personable and knowledgeable. Our favorite day trip was a full day tour of Soufriere with Claudius. We visited banana plantations and chocolate plantations. He opened up a cacao shell and we were able to taste the seeds inside. We loved going to the hot springs and mud baths and Claudius took lots of pictures. We also took a boat ride to Sugar Beach, where the snorkeling was excellent. We visited lots of beaches, as all beaches are open to the public. The accommodations at Village Bay were very comfortable with a full kitchen and plenty of space. WE loved having our coffee on the porch so close to the sea in the morning. We did spend another week in the Northern part of the island, with much natural beauty, although it was much more expensive. We could walk to Rituals Coffee for breakfast or lunch, but it was alongside a busy highway, fortunately less than a 10 minute walk.

Upon arrival, we had a personal greeting and acquaintance with owner, Colin. Everyone was so helpful! Quiet, beautiful access to beach, great local advice, clean, and attention to detail. They even helped celebrate our new marriage with a decorated bedroom! Will return again!

Gorgeous location right on the beach. Friendly staff and the most well appointed kitchen I’ve encountered in these types of holiday locations. Loved our deluxe suite, it was clean and the deck overlooked the water. We fell asleep and woke to the waves. The staff will arrange dinner reservations and transportation. Which was very helpful. You get your own beach bed cushions and beach towel which was awesome. Just take them down and choose your chair. They were harvesting or pruning the coconut palms our last day there and we were each offered a fresh coconut, savoured the water and he cracked them open for us to eat the jelly. So good! I wish now we had booked our whole trip here. I thought splitting our week between beach and mountains was a good idea but in retrospect we could have arranged the hikes we wanted through the hotel and stayed there.

A great place to stay with the sea footsteps way. If we ever get back to St Lucia I would definitely stay here again such a happy friendly place. From Mr Colin who owns this place to lady Margaret who came in every day to keep our room perfect always with a great smile. It was good that we had a rental car while here but I’m sure we could of got to where we needed by taxi. Hope to be back to visit again one day Villa Beach please don’t change

We were a little apprehensive as to what to expect with all the COVID protocols in place, but everyone at this property could not have been more accommodating. From conversations on the phone to e-mail correspondence, everyone was so nice and punctual. When we arrived, we were treated like family. Since we could not really eat out, the upgraded room was amply supplied with pretty much everything we would need to prepare our own meals and not have to venture out after curfew. The prices were reasonable. The room and amenities were more than we could have hoped for. The grounds are gorgeous. And the views of the ocean and sunsets are spectacular!! We can not say enough good things about Villa Beach Cottages!

My friend and I recently stayed at the Villa Beach Cottages. The stay was perfect in every way. We had a stunning view of the water, ate breakfast on the balcony daily, and enjoyed the warm waters and soft sand as much as possible between our day trips. We often had the beach all to ourselves - heavenly! The air conditioning was great and the beds very comfortable. Colin, Nataki and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome. They gave impeccable advice about what activities to enjoy while on the island. I loved that the property was quiet and calm, but close enough to nearby Rodney Bay and Castries to go out for food and shopping. Smuggler’s Cove is also a must-see day trip. The drivers booked for us by VBC were the best - professional and accommodating (Claudius is amazing!). Although the restaurant on the property wasn’t operating yet, the nearby food options were abundant - my only regret is that we weren’t able to make it to ALL of them. I hope we can make it back again soon for another escape to paradise.
