We fell in love with the place the moment we stepped out of the car. I have never stayed at a resort that is so much in harmony with its natural surroundings. The room had fantastic views of the sea and the forest and waking up to the dawn chorus of the birds and going to sleep accompanied by crickets...

Romantic, peaceful and the best food I've had. Only thing to note is that beach villas are in a garden setting with no view of the beach. Great views from hillside rooms but a very steep climb in the heat or a shuttle ride by the hotel. Beach villas have great access and are charmingly equipped. Great holiday and I...

This place wins hands down on being picturesque. They do a wonderful job of creating a secluded feeling in the jungle. As far as resorts go, this is the opposite of Sandals, so if Sandals sounds like your thing, Anse Chastanet won't be. The staff were almost universally nice and happy to be working there. You will also walk off...

From the moment we arrived, it was clear we had arrived at a special place.. Our room was picturesque and had a wonderful view of the ocean. Fresh flowers throughout the room and a very comfortable bed. We were a bit warm (No AC except for the beach rooms) and when we told the manager, they were incredibly accommodating and...

Having read some of the reviews for ANSE, we arrived with a little trepidation! Yes the road leading to the resort is GHASTLY, think of it as a fairground ride , and it will end ! the journey is well worth it for this amazing resort. The bedroom was stunning 12B ( in a local Caribbean way ) and all...

We arrived for a three night stay and were pleasantly surprised by the charming hillside resort. The entire staff is welcoming and never pass you without a big smile and hello making yo feel part of their family. The room we had was a superior room with large sitting room open to the outside and contained fridge, coffee maker, bottled...

We went to Anse Chastanet and immediately met great people. The locals here are super nice. We easily rented chairs under a frond hut. We snorkeled , then waded in the warm water, we sunbathed for a bit before going to lunch at Jungle Reef. The food was really delicious. Fantastic day.

We came for our 30th wedding anniversary and had a fantastic time. We bought the "total romance" package and ended up do all the things that were included. We stayed in the beach house. Unbelievable spot we will definitely come back.

From the room, to the private beach, the hiking, to the food and to the staff, Anse Chastanet was a wonderful vacation. We only have positive reviews and would recommend to anyone visiting St. Lucia! The climb to the room was well worth it everyday! I highly recommend the premium hillside room. Waking up the the Pitons and watching the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tranquility, Romance, Adventure: What were Caribbean hotels like when you sat watching the sunset instead of cable TV? You can still find that Classic Caribbean at Anse Chastanet on St. Lucia’s quiet southwestern coast where two magical peaks, the Pitons, leap from the sea and the mountains are covered with luminous greenery.Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. The resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. With such a unique setting as his canvas, Nick Troubetzkoy was inspired to design a one -of-a-kind resort. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tip toe up a flower decked hillside, taking advantage of the captivating scenery all around. Anse Chastanet’s ever growing art collection provides a visual feast of its own. There are impressive wooden sculptures and plaques, earthy burlap compositions, painted “sky ceilings” and vibrant acrylic paintings invoking memories of Matisse and Picasso. And while the sensuous seclusion of the rooms provides some guests with the perfect excuse for lolling away the day on the balcony, others head out to partake in the many activities on offer; yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, tennis, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation. ... more   less
