We stayed at Anse Chastanet for 1 week in early October, 2012 and loved it! We had a Hillside Deluxe room which had an open wall/balcony facing the jungle with a small ocean view. The room itself was large and had a nice-sized bathroom, sitting/reading area, cafe table, in-room fridge, and plenty of closet/drawer space. The hotel is just remote...

Spent a week here in October 2012 – a week was not long enough and very quickly realised we should have booked 10 days or a fortnight as lots to do and a lovely resort. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the food – especially dinner in the Treehouse Restaurant, was fab. Highly recommend the free plantation walk...

First off, this is an amazing resort. It is nestled in a corner, all alone and by itself, with a two mile road that leads only to this place (the owner did that on purpose). It is beautiful, amazing, and every other cool word to describe it. But, you have to understand a couple things about here. To start, it...

Well where to start, this hotel is amazing! We are average joe people and live a simple life. We felt like royalty the second we stepped into the hotel! We were picked up at the airport, and shuttled the 1hr and 5 min to the hotel, the cab driver was very knowledgeable and told us all about the island as...

Booked by my other half who'd never been to the Carribean, we were both looking forward to having some R&R. Having arrived by helicopter to the resort from the airport which I recommend doing, we were greeted by 2 staff with a car. The helicopter was a surprise for me, which was fab! Word of warning, the airport has no...

If you're even remotely considering this hotel, just book it and don't even bother with the rest. We picked this as our honeymoon destination, with debate between this and Sandals, and now I know we picked the perfect place. The resort is perfect if you want just rest, relaxation and romance. Everyone here is a couple, most on their honeymoon....

Stayed in hillside deluxe rooms with sea view.quiet and secluded! Service was excellent throughout our stay and very welcoming/friendly. Food and wine was of good quality and menu varied. Breakfast was plentiful and had good choice. We had previously stayed in stone field estates (just other side of Soufriere) which was also fantastic but Anse Chastanet just pipped it on...

The view from are veranda was amazing. The Pitons to the left and the ocean to the right. The only negative thing to say was about the mosquitos. We were bitten from am to pm!! They were immune to the repellant and chewed on us at every opportunity. The hotel prepared your room every evening by lighting a coil to...

There is probably not a lot else I could add to my review that has not been said in other recent reviews. We enjoy travelling to St Lucia to just relax and lie on a beach, eat good food, drink some nice wine, cocktails, swim, snorkel and enjoy the fabulous St Lucian hospitality and weather. It was our first visit...

Both my Parnter and I have just returned after the best holiday we have ever had. Words cannot describe this amazing hotel and complex. We spent a week all inclusive at the Anse Chastanet and I would advise you NOT to read anything negative about this hotel as it is 'heaven on earth' and beyond anything we could ever imagine....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tranquility, Romance, Adventure: What were Caribbean hotels like when you sat watching the sunset instead of cable TV? You can still find that Classic Caribbean at Anse Chastanet on St. Lucia’s quiet southwestern coast where two magical peaks, the Pitons, leap from the sea and the mountains are covered with luminous greenery.Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. The resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. With such a unique setting as his canvas, Nick Troubetzkoy was inspired to design a one -of-a-kind resort. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tip toe up a flower decked hillside, taking advantage of the captivating scenery all around. Anse Chastanet’s ever growing art collection provides a visual feast of its own. There are impressive wooden sculptures and plaques, earthy burlap compositions, painted “sky ceilings” and vibrant acrylic paintings invoking memories of Matisse and Picasso. And while the sensuous seclusion of the rooms provides some guests with the perfect excuse for lolling away the day on the balcony, others head out to partake in the many activities on offer; yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, tennis, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation. ... more   less
