I really wanted to love it. When we travel, we always avoid resorts and stay places where we can walk to town and enjoy the places that locals enjoy. On many other islands, this has been fantastic. Not here. Soufriere is in need of, well, everything. That being said- the 'resort' is really a hotel with a very small, warm,...

We were in room 3 - really enjoyed the view from our balcony and could hear the waves crash which literally lulled me to sleep! Great food, great service. Beautiful garden full of birds, especially hummingbirds. We were staying on the North side of the island but stayed here overnight when we took our 2 day tour down to see...

Booked with Hummingbird Beach Resort primarily because of it's piton view and the fact it was right on the beach (We had Room 3 which shows best view of petit piton) The room has a feeling of old charm about it which suited us just fine, lovely big bed with a box net which kept most bugs out. We did...

Very relaxed resort, locally owned and operated...steps from the neighborhood beach on Soufriere Bay ...panoramic views of Petit Piton and the Bay from the dining room and pool...no beach vendors...hummingbirds...nice firm mattress... perfect weather...best fish cakes and pumpkin soup ever. We enjoyed our conversations with the owner who was on site daily and with the friendly, helpful staff members. Excellent...

When we couldn't get off the island (never fly out on a buddy pass!) we needed a place to stay. We immediatley thought of the place our driver brought us for lunch the day before. TripAdvisor made it easy to book with the click of a button. It took us about an hour from the airport. When we arrived the...

We spent 3 nights in their “Honeymoon room”. Expectations need to be managed: it's OK, but well removed from luxurious, and the price is quite steep for what it is. The pluses: pleasant balcony with the best of the hotel's views over Soufriere beach and the Petit Piton, and a nice garden one floor down full of hummingbirds and other...

Full disclosure, I remember the Hummingbird from 36 years ago when it was just a restaurant where I had many good times, including Christmas dinner 1980. Imagine my delight to see Joyce still there, having expanded it to a resort! We did not stay there, but she gave us a tour of the property including a new cottage being finished...

We liked our room with views to the pitons and a balcony where we could sit and watch the humming birds. The bathroom was a big disappointment and badly needs upgrading if this hotel is to command better reviews. We ate in on our first night and again on a music night, both times we felt the food was disappointing and...

The views of the Pitons are to die for and the food is very good!! We stopped in for lunch! The service and atmosphere is very relaxed! Worth the drive down to Souffriere. I am looking forward to my day trip to Souffriere just to be able to eat here again.

I would like to have loved Hummingbird Resort more than I did. On the plus side, the location is terrific. To sit at the bar, in the restaurant, around the pool, on our room’s tiny patio was mesmerizing – a fabulous view over Soufriere Bay and the Pitons. The restaurant is very good. I highly recommend the Creole style catch...
