We had a wonderful time! The resort has a private, intimate feel, perfect for a unique experience of relaxing and truly feeling the island vibe. The open air rooms are stunning, I checked out one that my friend was staying in and it was so cool! I chose a closed room with A/C which was also wonderful. The staff is amazing. You really get to know them and the owner/Manager really spent time getting to know us and showing us all the cool places we would’ve never found if we didnt spend time chatting with them. The bartender is fun, and the drinks are delicious. The food is amazing. I have been to 23 resorts in the Caribbean and this place did not disappoint! Everything is fresh and so tasty and they take the time to explain what you are eating and where it comes from. It was also my Birthday while I was there and the staff went out of their way multiple times to wish me a Happy Bday and even had the singer at the evening entertainment sing to me. I’ll never forget my experience here!

I visited Green Tree Resort & Spa as a makeup artist for a business retreat. The owners welcomed us graciously upon arrival and staff was kind/ professional not to mention a good time. All the food was fantastic! Room was massive & the stairs are worth the view. I would definitely bring my family back! Onion is the best bartender & Tessa’s massage is well worth it! They catered to our every need not to mention the mud bath at the volcano is a once in a lifetime experience. I travel the world and the view at this place is a priceless screensaver. The open air room is huge which gives you a chillin’ on the patio vibe with an unbelievable piece of paradise to look at. If you’re open to island life authenticity this is the place for you! 🙌👏⛰🌋🌄🌊🏊🏼‍♀️💆🏻‍♀️

Imagine waking up in the morning and drinking your first cup of coffee while taking in all that surrounds you. You've never felt so alive, or perhaps even more accurately put: this is how life should be lived! The views here are incredible; whether it's oceanfront property with spectacular sunsets over crystal blue waters, lush green junglegym-like setting perfect for hiking any day -or simply sitting by an adult waterfall enjoying nature at her finest-, there really isn't anything like home sweethome

I’m so happy with my recent stay at Green Fig! The views are done no justice by pictures – truly breathtaking. Also, the staff is THE BEST! Each person I had the pleasure of meeting was a delight. I’m so appreciative for their kindness and accommodation throughout my stay. They truly are the heart of the resort and the special sauce that makes Green Fig what it is! I had a room on the main level of the resort which was awesome as it was close to everything, and the view was FANTASTIC! The room was spacious, clean, and offered all basic toiletries necessary. The bathroom was also nice - it had a walk-in shower, bowl sink, vanity mirror and a really nice window view that looked out over the town of Soufriere and onto the ocean & Pitons. If you like excursions, you have so many to choose from and are sure to find a few to fit your fancy! A great surprise was the live entertainment in the evenings! I got to enjoy a lot of great DJs, singers, and musical numbers during my stay! However, even when the live entertainment ends, the island will still sing for you which I fell in love with. I absolutely recommend staying at Green Fig and would certainly book here again! For anyone planning a visit to St. Lucia, Green Fig should surely be at the top of your list! Lastly, I want to especially thank Tasha, Tim, Kelsey, Paul, Ravi, and Chef for making my Green Fig experience that much more amazing! We shared many fun days full of laughs, great conversation and delicious food!

I couldn’t have picked a better spot to celebrate my birthday. The staff was entertaining and very accommodating, and the food was amazing! To my surprise, I found that you have an amazing view of the pitons from any point throughout the resort. The staff was helpful with creating an itinerary for the activities I was interested in, as well as scheduling my transportation; they made everything so easy. The rooms were ample and clean, and it was much appreciated when the staff decorated it for my birthday. The live entertainment at night was also a nice surprise, with talented singers and DJs encouraging us to dance and sing along. The energy was unmatched and was a great introduction to the island, I’m already planning a trip back ! I would exclusively like to thank Ravi, Tim, Tasha, Kelsey, Paul, and the Chef for the many laughs and overall for an amazing experience with Green Fig!

I selected Green Fig Resort and Spa for eight consecutive nights in June and July 2022 for my tourism-related visit to St. Lucia. The location of the hotel in Soufriere and the very high ranking of the hotel on TripAdvisor were the main reasons for me selecting this lodging. Making a reservation was a simple and straightforward process. Using the hotel's official website, I selected my preferred room type (Romance Suite with Sea View) and dates of stay. After entering the details of my credit card and paying a 50% deposit of $1498.20 USD to secure my reservation, I was nearly immediately e-mailed a confirmed-reservation voucher, which I eventually printed and brought with me when I departed for St. Lucia. When I arrived at Hewanorra International Airport, a pre-arranged hotel taxi was waiting outside near the exit door of the Arrivals terminal. The ride from the airport to the hotel took 45 minutes and cost $85 USD, and when I arrived at the hotel, the check-in process with the receptionist, during which I received a welcome beverage and my room key card, was fast and efficient. The bedroom of my room (#311) featured a king-size bed with four large pillows and sheets and comforter of excellent quality. Two nightstands with lamps, a wicker chair, a wicker sofa, a coffee table, a dresser with eight drawers, and a flat-screen television with satellite were also present. A spacious walk-in closet contained a security safe, a hair dryer, and an iron. In-suite amenities included strong air conditioning, wi-fi, a ceiling fan, a stand fan, a coffee pot and tea kettle with coffee and tea supplies, respectively, a mini-fridge, and complimentary bottled water (two per day). An outdoor balcony, just off the bedroom, featured a small “plunge” swimming pool, a table and several chairs, an unobstructed view of Petit Piton and the ocean, but an obstructed (by trees) view of Soufriere. The bathroom featured a walk-in shower stall with a rainhead shower head, decent water pressure with ample hot water, and large and clean towels and washcloths. Amenities in the bathroom included a small selection of toiletries. British style (three-prong) power outlets were located in the bathroom and bedroom. In the mornings, breakfast consisted of complimentary fresh fruit (a medley of mango, pineapple, watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, and banana), toast, and baked breads. Optional a la carte breakfasts (American, Creole, English, etc.) were also available for an additional cost ($11 USD to $16 USD each, and worth the price!). The breakfast was filling and the service was excellent each morning during my stay. As mentioned in the first paragraph of this review, the location of the hotel in Soufriere was one of the main reasons for me choosing Green Fig Resort and Spa for my time on St. Lucia. The main tourism sites of the town, as well as restaurants and bars, were all very easy walks from the hotel, with the additional tourism sites of the region accessible by short taxi rides. However, those with mobility issues should be mindful that returning to the hotel by foot from Soufriere involves steep to very steep roads and driveways and numerous stairs. For eight consecutive nights at Green Fig Resort and Spa, I paid a grand total of $3385.20 USD (deposit + remaining balance + breakfasts + hotel-arranged taxis). And upon completion of my stay, the transfer from the hotel to the airport cost $85 USD and took 45 minutes in light afternoon traffic. For a future trip to St. Lucia, I would have no problem selecting Green Fig Resort and Spa again for my lodging, and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in St. Lucia for leisure or tourism.

Green Fig resort was more than we had hoped for. We specifically wanted a room with a view of the Petit Piton, and the Romance Suite room delivered. I fretted over this detail, and the manager Michael was quick to reply to my questions prior to arrival. The resort is nestled into the mountain side, higher up than the town. The view is postcard worthy. We were there celebrating our 25th anniversary, and wanted something that was scenic, quiet, and friendly. Each room is spread out, and some buildings are in stone, others wooden. There are three pools across the property, and each have a view of the Piton, seek them out if you plan to lounge here. It was never crowded, and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. For six of the seven nights, the resort had live entertainment - steel drum player and singers. Entertainment didn't go past 9pm, so it was enough to have a late dinner at the resort, and then turn in for an early evening. The sunrises were most beautiful here. Having come from Florida, we understand heat and humidity in August. The option for an AC room is a must for us during this time of year, and surprisingly, the room was cooler than we keep it at home. Just be aware some rooms are open air, some have AC when booking. The Romance Suite room itself was larger than the pictures indicate. Glad to have had a small bar fridge, enough for a few bottles of water, and a large walk-in shower area, which had wall-mounted soaps, shampoo & conditioner. Wifi was great, as we had to work a bit while on vacation. Whatsap messaging worked very well for us to communicate with the front desk for all needs, such a a last minute taxi into town, or if a maintenance need arose. The resort even had free-to-use sunscreen by the bar, and bug-spray, for those of us who forgot to pack it. The staff was lovely, responsive and always wanting to please. Lee, Tasha, Tim, Kelsey and the housekeeping staff were friendly. We enjoyed relaxing at the bar, and at breakfast, chatting and taking in the views. As a specific example of attentiveness, our inbound flight changed. We had already planned a taxi from the hotel to pick us up at a pre-determined time. I emailed the staff at the resort at 2am, and by 8am, they were already replying, acknowledging the change, and that the driver would be there when we landed. Amazing service, which started the trip off right. We felt taken care of. Just a note - the resort is up a steep incline, nestled in amongst mango trees, so yes - its a bit of a walk to get down to the main road and to town if you intend to explore. Rooms can be a bit of a hike up and down the property, too - but you never feel like you are right next to someone else's room. We found that the option to arrange a taxi worked great for us for in-town excursions, and the drivers were especially helpful and waited for us to be done our meals, or tours. They didn't leave until we were ready, and that's their normal procedure. It made us feel secure knowing how to get back to the hotel, too. Shout out to Danel for giving us a wonderful ride around town and to his favorite fish place, Gabon's on Friday. We discovered that tipping the staff directly with cash, either US$, or ECU was best - as the option of putting it on the end of the trip/settling up didn't work for us. Bring lots of small denominations but note that American cash must not be ripped, or torn in any way - most restaurants/markets will not accept that, so be warned. We normally use Amex, but found that more places were Visa/MC friendly here in St. Lucia. This resort was within 10-15 minute cab ride from everything we had planned, too - Diamond waterfalls, Volcano tour/mudbath, Hotel Chocolate tour, Beacon Restaurant, Tet Paul hike, beaches, and even the catamaran rides from the pier. Go early on morning excursions, before the tour buses come in from Castries, and your experience will feel like it's just you and a guide. Overall, this resort is small, but very accommodating. Because this is set into a mountainside, there are steep steps from the rooms to the top of the resort. You can hear the town noises, and some barking dogs a bit, but the tree frogs overpower them for the most part. If you are looking for a unique resort, and one that tries to make your stay enjoyable, this is it. We are already thinking of coming back with friends!
