I could not be happier with the result of my visit of beautiful Soufrière. La Villa des Pitons absolutely did meet my expectations if not exceeded it, one of very few places where you can actually enjoy amazing view on pitons, Caribbean Sea and the prior capital city in the same time while staying in amazing countryside and hearing all the forest’s wildlife ( no snakes! miles around for those who are wondering - got this information proved by many locals live all their life, no spiders and not even many mosquitoes in villa :)
Thanks of large place and very thoughtful architectural design is villa great for large groups who prefer to be sociable but also for couples who like their privacy. Colourful rooms and outside interiors combined with natural materials constantly reminded me that I was in caribbean country. Loved that amazing views from restaurant, lounge and all patios, fountain, pond with fish. Good pool and jacuzzi. Very quick to get down to the main beach approximately 10 mins by walk, way back up to 20 mins. ;)
The villa was always clean, as well as my large two floors apartment.
Everyone was very helpful, anything I ever needed was provided without any delays or questions. Promptly arranged my trips to countryside is something I was very grateful and amazing / unique places where to go recommended.
I was solo traveller this time and I definitely felt safe and comfortable there during of all my stay.
Beautiful mango tree with large mangos just opposite to the entrance staircase.🥭
Thank You all for providing such a lovely time and also thank you for your professional while friendly attitude.
I had truly a great time. ☀️

Location: First, the location and view were perfect. Waking up to the views from this villa was beyond excellent.

Staff: The Staff was beyond amazing, I had their numbers, and whenever I needed anything, they were there. Very knowledgeable and very friendly.

Food: beyond incredible. Breakfast was available every morning. The breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. Lunch and Dinner were provided off property, yet free transfer to and from.

This was maybe one of the best stays I’ve had in a long time. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. My hotel room was a loft style with a fantastic view. I saw in previous mentions that hot water or water, in general, had problems. I had no issues with plumbing or the water whatsoever. I would go again, and can’t wait until I return. I’ll be staying here again!

Amazing view!
The overall health and appearance of the building has gone downhill. As of our visit (2023) there’s a dirty pool, no spa, no food/bar at the villa and no one is ever working on site.
The room we had was clean, and pretty nice, great view of the piton. A couple downsides are that the toilet would get backed up and stink up the place, and the bug nets for the beds have holes in them.

Pros: Affordable, safe, stunning views, clean room, friendly service, complimentary cell phone, in-room TV and AC, airport transfers included in car rental

Cons: Mostly no hot water, nothing convenient within walking distance, poor room lighting, car issues, ants in room, below-average food

The proprietor, Dora Mangal, is an angel, but the Villa des Pitons leaves a lot to be desired for even the casual traveler.

We spent 6 nights here for our honeymoon and are accustomed to budget accommodations - we knew going in that this was no Ladera or Jade Mountain. Upon arrival at the airport we were met by one of the hotel's courteous service staff, Moses, who drove us into Soufriere. Our room was near the top floor, negotiated by several flights of haphazard (and *extremely* slippery when wet) stairs. Like many places in St Lucia, the Villa is not designed for accessibility - those with walking troubles should look elsewhere.

The room itself was clean and sparsely furnished - we were pleasantly surprised to find a kitchen with a refrigerator, unpleasantly surprised to find a missing nightstand on one side of the bed. As we arrived at night, we found the room to be extremely dim, with few overhead lights to bring out the great colors on the walls. We noted the "solar hot water" sign in the bathroom as an eco-friendly nod. Rather this was a warning - unless you shower at the end of a sunny day, warm water will be in short supply.

Staff comes by about 9 every morning to take your breakfast order. They are persistent and will force you up if you are in the room (no "do not disturb" signs handy). The breakfast food choices are a little thin, but the meal is included in many reservation plans, so no reason to complain. We elected to eat dinner in the Villa's restaurant on one occasion (alone - the place was a ghost town almost every night). The menu came with half a dozen caveats, mostly items not available. My wife's only request - the pumpkin soup - was one such no-show. Based on this experience, we bought groceries in town to make our own meals. If you do the same, bring sealable bags, otherwise ants will sniff out your perishables (they found ours easily).

Climate control in our room was a hassle - the room didn't get any natural airflow, so we had to rely on the AC. Unfortunately, on the second day its remote (no manual controls, oddly) went missing and had to be forcefully set by management every day thereafter. Due to power outages on two straight mornings, we lost the AC entirely until maid service later in the day.

The Villa's location gives it beautiful views of the Pitons, which are worth some of the minor headaches. For us the biggest problem was our car, which we rented through the hotel. At 4 days in and on the way to a reserved horseback ride in Gros Islet, the brake pads gave out, leaving us a treacherous descent back through the mountains to get a repair. Thankfully they had it fixed within a couple hours, but by that time it had bungled our plans and added considerable stress to our morning.

Our cruise ship bus tour stopped here for lunch before returning from our visit of the Sulfur Springs. The food was so-so outdoor buffet style. Nothing special, but the view was fantastic! Decent restrooms. The "Inn" itself is rundown and in disrepair. Not even sure that part is open. The parking is extremely limited, and on a VERY steep drive only 2 cars wide. Must climb many stairs to get up to the eating balcony.

We climbed another level up where the "sundeck" and pool were located. It looked like it was in terrible need of maintenance. Junk in the dry pool, broken chairs, etc. Great view, though!

Stayed for 5 nights in January. There are 2 very good things about this hotel which has made me give it a 4 star rating, the stunning views of Soufriere and the Pitons from the hotel, and the friendliness and helpfulness of Michael, the owner and his staff. Everything is done to help you enjoy your stay at the hotel. The breakfasts provided were good, one morning Michael got the chef to do a Creole breakfast which was delicious. The chef also came in especially 2 nights to cook dinner for us. The one meal was the best we had during our 3 week holiday on St Lucia. We had a trip around the sights in Soufriere, by John, one of Michael's drivers, who also picked us up from the airport and took us to our next destination on the island. John is a special genuine man, very kind, helpful and polite and really made our trip very special. We choose the places we wanted to go to, John was with us explaining about the things, it made a very enjoyable trip for us. Thank you John.
We could walk into Soufriere but the road is a little busy so care is needed. The walk back is very steep but doable. I wouldn't attempt the walk in the dark.
There is a jacuzzi on the patio which is lovely to be able to use in the sun with the views and ambience.
The only thing lacking at this hotel which stops making it very special are the bedrooms. I will describe them as rustic and local. The bedroom itself isn't too bad, but the bathrooms require some serious attention to update them for foreign visitors requirements. However that said, the cost paid is extremely reasonable considering costs on the island and I expect the reason is because of this, as with this update it would make it a really special place.

My husband and I stayed at Villa des Pitons for our first anniversary and just returned from a trip for our seventh anniversary. It is always risky to stay at the same place twice because often things have changed too much or gone downhill. We were thrilled to discover that almost everything at Villas des Pitons was exactly the same and a few things had even gotten better!

We can't say enough about the warmth and friendliness of ALL the staff--this has been consistently true for both our visits. We truly did feel like we were staying with family. Our needs were taken care of before we could even ask and the level of personal attention was incredible. You would NEVER get that at a big resort where hundreds of other tourists are around.

We were also pleased to discover many improvements on the property, including a new pool and spa, a gym, a gazebo, a porch swing and lounger swing, etc. The owner, Michael, is clearly putting care (and money) into making guests' experience at the villa top notch.

This is the THE place to stay if you want to feel like you are staying with people who care about you and want you to have an authentic experience in St. Lucia. Every meal was an amazing Creole feast. The view of Soufriere from every place on the property is unmatched--it really is just like the pictures, only better. Soufriere is not overrun with tourists like the north part of the island and you can spend time with the local people and enjoy the natural, unspoiled beauty of the beach, rainforest, hot springs, waterfalls, and of course, the Pitons.

I can't imagine a better place to stay in St Lucia than Soufriere or a better place to stay in Soufriere than Villa des Pitons. The view and the staff are just unparalleled. We can't wait to go back again!

This resort is top of the line and could be rated amongst world class boutique hotels. Photos don't do it justice! The views are absolutely breathtaking of the Pitons, the beach, etc. The ambience, service and quality of stay makes this resort a beautiful luxury experience. The resort itself is impeccable maintaining its authenticity of the true St. Lucian spirit while embracing St. Lucian Heritage and culture.

This review is written very much retrospectively but after looking at some of the reviews I think it prudent to place a few basic comments.
My partner and myself stayed for five nights at the Villa des Pitons in 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and came away with many happy memories. We were a little wary when we first arrived as there was no greeting, we were merely shown to our room and felt a little isolated, but we certainly need not have worried. As soon as we were introduced later to Dora and Michael we were made to feel totally at home. The food, the service, and the view was absolutely excellent.
I can only thoroughly recommend and would really hope to return one day.
