This place is not 5 star luxury and that’s what makes it so incredibly perfect. It’s an eclectic mix of buildings but it works. The pool is small but adequate and the restaurant and bar are once again open. We bookended a clipper ship cruise...More
Post Irma my usual accommodations were not an option on "the friendly island."

My wife and I stayed at Mary's Boon in a garden studio apartment. We found his to be as described and very acceptable for our 1night stay. The hotel is quickly back to normal though the bar and restaurant was still to be fully up...More
This was my fifth visit to Mary’s Boon, and my first visit since Irma ravaged the island. As long as the current owners run it, I will keep coming back, and I will keep recommending it to others.
During Hurricane Irma, I told my partner...More

Hello, I was talking with Elena, one of the people who run Mary's, and she said although there is extensive damage they are hoping to be up and running again by December. I think the best thing to do is contact then direct a little closer to your holiday, say the end of November for an update. I am sure either way they are trying there best to get things sorted as soon as they can. Up to the last time I spoke with her they had no running water or sanitation and intermittent mains power. And its the same for all the island right now. Such a shame for all involved.
Most of the main structure survived with little damage but a few rooms were destroyed in the garden area. Most of the trees have gone and the beach has been pushed back quite a bit, but this will rectify it's self over time.

The hotel was damaged. They are in the process of cleaning up currently. I don't know if it will be feasible to stay on the island even through the end of the year, as much was destroyed. Phone service and utilities are not operational in many areas. You may try to contact them through the Mary's Boon Facebook page for now. They are able to communicate somewhat in that way.
I hope this helps you.
