Your on a Carribean Island - nothing is cheap - but for value - come and stay at the Alegria. It is a simple, extremely clean, hotel. The pool is clean and friendly, maybe not for kids but perfect for adullts. The rooms are comfortable - the beds especially so and no matter where in the world you have travelled...

Great service, called the hotel to book a room and spoke to Roselina over the phone, she was very friendly over the phone and in person. Not loud but calm and quiet after finding out I made a mistake with the booking information.

We booked over the phone the same day and let them know we would be checking in at midnight that night due to travel delays. We picked the more expensive of the rooms with oceanview. We arrive late as plan, told they have no room for us. We showed him the reservation which included room type and price. He ignored...

Booked this hotel the day before my trip and it turned out to be totally awesome. The staff was helpful, the location is prime, and the room was really nice. My favorite part was the swim up bar. After careful research of hotels for a one night stay, Alegria was my final choice. So happy we were able to experience SXM at such a great hotel. The staff was super friendly& the room was neat, clean & spacious. Upon arrival we were informed of a complimentary upgrade (ocean view). Hotel is also walking distance from SXMs main attraction....

The price and location were unbelievable! The hotel and it's staff were awesome and very helpful when it came to traveling on the island. We had a problem with the safe in our room and they fixed it immediately. We really liked the swim up bar and the bartender (Marty). He's got a great happy hour and makes awesome drinks....

Looked at this resort while shopping for hotels. Reviews made it out to be a bit sketchy. Ended up here due to cancelled flight. Staff was very friendly and professional. I am not quite sure what the problem is with some people. We were there last in Dec. 2014 and April 2015. The upgrades we experienced in such a short time were amazing. First the staff, from Minerva to Ozzie, and everyone else, including the security staff, as usual was wonderful. They always welcome us back like family. Check in...
