The Koi Resort Saint Kitts, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, offers an experience that guests find varies greatly. Its secluded location is considered romantic by some but is viewed as potentially unsafe and underused by others. While the staff's friendliness and attentiveness have been praised, there are reports of inconsistent service. The resort's atmosphere is a point of contention; the rooms are well-regarded for their quality, yet the loud music and lack of ambiance in shared spaces have been criticized.
Cleanliness is generally appreciated, though some guests have noted housekeeping shortcomings. The value proposition of the resort is under debate, with concerns about misleading advertising, limited amenities, and overpriced services, despite the stunning views. The rooms themselves receive mixed reviews, with guests enjoying the space and views but pointing out maintenance issues. Amenities like the pool facilities receive praise, but the limited beach access is a disappointment for many.

Hotel's Favourite
I had an excellent stay at Koi. Every staff member I encountered was pleasant and eager to help. The room was clean with an excellent view. Very peaceful stay. Small pool area with beautiful ocean views. Note there is no beach access here. The resort does offer a shuttle to a local beach. They have taxi drivers available to take you wherever you need to go. Gerald gave me some excellent local knowledge and recommendations, and took the time to make reservations for me. Bar and restaurant on site. For me it was a perfect getaway-stress free and relaxing. Be sure to look for the monkeys there as well. I will absolutely return. Thank you to all.

Just returned from a fabulous week at Koi. The hotel has only been open for about 5 weeks and they are still working through some items however the staff and property make up for some of the small hiccups.
The rooms are all modern, comfortable and have great views of the ocean. Based upon the way the building is built all have views just some over the golf course. The Oceanfront suite we stayed in was a large corner true one bedroom room with multiple windows and sliding glass doors onto the wrap around balcony.
The food on site is excellent (no surprise based upon the fact that the hotel is owned by a restaurant group). They are still working through the menu and trying new items but are willing to do anything to make your meals enjoyable.
The pool area is very nice and tranquil. Their are currently a few chairs and couches around the pool and grass area. However the pool is in the shade from approximately 1:00 pm and is not heated therefore the pool is currently too cold to sit in and enjoy. And the beach is currently out of order due to past storms therefore your onsite pool and beach options are very limited.
The hotel is removed from all therefore a car is highly recommended. Taxis from the hotel to Frigate Bay average around $20 each way, $25 to town and $16 to the airport.
Special shout out to Marah, Sheba, Sheaker and Tafy. They made my wife and I feel like guests in their home for the week.

Pros:
• Nice, spacious room. Very comfortable
• Our room had a large terrace with an ocean view, which was really nice
• Reception was kind enough to book a tour for us (though the amount that the guide charged was over 2.5 times the price we were told by reception – some sort of miscommunication)
Cons:
• If your goal is to be away from people and walking distance to not much of anything at all, this might be a good escape
• Reception was inconsistent. Folks who checked us in were friendly. Lady who checked us out was rather gruff, not friendly
• Hotel location wasn’t great – not decent walking distance to anything (restaurants, cafes, the beach, etc.). Felt like a really odd choice for the location
• No accessible beach
• Restaurant was ok. Music playing in restaurant was annoying (Christmas music on a loop that often skipped for some reason, then rather depressing covers of songs that played on a 30 minute or so loop – I really don’t know how the staff can stay sane with that)
• No convenience shop for toiletries, snacks, souvenirs
• A gym with no towels (and damp machines) that needed to be cleaned. Gym had no windows
• No ATM machine (and again, not much of anything nearby the hotel)

STAY CLEAR! My husband and I were supposed to stay a week at this hotel. After two nights I couldn’t take it anymore and we left to go to the Mariott! The hotel is a disaster and the owner is from over seas and doesn’t care. The place is filthy there is no grounds keeper so the landscaping is gross. Just looks very messy. It was hit by a hurricane in 2017 and never fixed so there is no beach access just caution tape. The pool is concrete and not heated. Btw the continental breakfast is fruit and cereal and by 9 am nothing is left and ice coffee is an extra. The managers and staff don’t care about you after we brought to the attention of dirty sheets, our bathroom looked like it was never cleaned and needing new towels they told us to call Hilton. Only allowed two towels a day and if the bathroom floods you need to ask for a mop. Cleo checked us out when we left earlier and refused to help us with point etc. the hotel is in a terrible location and truly we didn’t feel safe.

We were treated wonderfully by every staff person we encountered. We are Hilton Diamond members but when we checked in no water was offered and there is nothing available on property to purchase water, drinks or snacks. Our corner room had a gorgeous view and was spacious. Unfortunately, the room is not well appointed. The unit has lots of very, very empty cupboards-no dish towels to use in the kitchenette or paper towels. There was absolutely nothing in any drawer or cupboard, of which there were many. No wash cloths or hand towels in the 2nd bathroom. No hand towels the first 3 days in the master bath. The pool was fine-more artistic than functional as a pool. No one opening umbrellas around the pool so we had to do it. One other guest helped us since it wasn’t easy. Excursions can be booked through the front desk at very reasonable rates and we enjoyed all we did. The island is beautiful, the people extraordinary, welcoming and kind. We will return but probably choose to stay elsewhere with more amenities.

We could not fault the Koi Resort apart from the exorbitant cost of eating in. Our room was perfect and kept exceptionally clean. We are missing waking up to that amazing view of the sea and golf course!
All staff members were very friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble.
We were very happy with the location which was quiet, but realised from other reviews that renting a car was essential for getting around the island in our own time.
As far as beaches are concerned, some were very dirty and littered with broken glass bottles and other detritus, but we did manage to find a small remote beach which was clean and good for snorkelling.
Over all there is not a huge amount to do on the island but we would definitely recommend this hotel.

The rooms and common areas are extremely nice - very clean and of modern style. The employees are friendly and will do anything they can to help you. It is clear that everyone there wants the guests to be comfortable and that they take pride in the hotel. While the pool deck is in the shade after 1:00 pm and the beach isn’t swimmable, it is a very pleasant setting to listen to the ocean, read, drink, etc. You could always visit another beach for the day. With it being so new there weren’t many guests and there was some training still taking place, but I am confident that they will work out any service issues they’re having within the next few months because the employees have such an amazing attitude.
One notable item is that the food is great and served in a stylish way! Dinners at Koi were among our favorite of everything we tried on the island. If you don’t stay here, you should at least come for a dinner. The employees in the restaurant are great as well. Ishmalie made our experience so fun.
I would stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting.

A lovely (though a bit sea worn), relaxed resort with friendly, helpful staff, who do their best to ensure your pleasant stay. Front desk attendants, Cleo and Stephanie were outstandingly cheerful and responsive to questions, requests, and recommendations. Jada, the bellhop, was very funny and accommodating. The restaurant staff, particularly Cherise, Sharina, Keron, Rachel, Carl, and Vee, were polite, prompt, cordial, and happy to fulfill special requests. Our housekeepers, Javanna and Jessica Rose paid close attention to the details of cleaning our room and made it a homey and welcoming space throughout our stay. The head of housekeeping (whose name escapes me) checked on us several times to make sure our expectations were met. Thank you so much to your beautiful staff for making our stay delightful. You have some lovely and lively folks working for you who made our time wonderfully memorable.
A note to travelers hoping to stay at the Koi: be advised that there is no beach access at the resort. Climate change and rip tides make the sea scape a beautiful view, but the beach unusable. You will find similar situations at the Marriott and Park Hyatt (there the hang up is the sea mass (red seaweed). Other beaches on the island are swimmable and easily accessible. I recommend renting a car. There is a free shuttle at the Koi that will take you to local beaches at 11:00 am and pick you up at 4:00. Cabs are available for about $20 USD. The rooms at the Koi are bright, spacious, and clean with excellent beds. We had an issue with our key cards that was quickly resolved and our hot water was more lukewarm, but the staff fixed that as soon as we asked. There is only one operating restaurant at the resort (Jaya), which served our purposes just fine. Others have complained that the restaurant is over priced, but if you consider that you are on an island where most items need to be imported, it may explain the expense. There are many local, tasty dining options a short drive away. Being mindful that you are not in the U.S. and so cannot expect the same urgency of service or timetables you are normally accustomed to will enhance your stay. The island’s motto is “Rush Slowly.” We did and had a beautiful time.

Very nice hotel. We stayed in a suite overlooking the ocean and the golf course and the view is amazing. Cozel on the main reception always had a smile and was happy to help. There is no beach this hotel and there is no way to walk on to the coastline or to access the footpath around the golf course from hotel. If you are staying here for any length of time you definitely need a car to travel to other parts of the Island. We found the food at the hotel to be extremely expensive after the hotel added taxes and service charge for each meal, for a family that can become expensive especially staying for two weeks. When we initially arrived the third bed was missing from the sweet and we were moved rooms after 3 days because the patio doors would not open onto the balcony. For a short stay and a complete break from life, for a couple, this hotel is ideal.

The location is remote and a little bit awkward if I’m being honest. The beach is shut off to guests as it’s full of seaweed and rough which is typical on the Atlantic side. A shuttle takes you to some local beaches at 10 am and returns at 3 at no cost to you. Once there you can rent a couple loungers for about 15$ us per day.
Portion sizes were smaller and the alcohol was expensive. It wasn’t a bad trip but it felt empty and a bit weird with no one else around.

There wasn’t any. We were there in June/July.
It took us some time to find a car but we booked ours online - the search took us via Expedia which strangely showed more availability than contacting Avis direct!
There should be other rentals companies available if you ask at reception. They are really helpful and will make calls for you.
Car rental also can be quite pricey there but gives you freedom to get around the island so I hope you find one.
Hi yes there is soap and shampoo and I believe conditioner. No toothbrush and tooth paste but everything else.
