We opted for a smaller room at the front of the property, it had all...More
Beautiful beachfront hotel. Owners Ted and Chris are so friendly and helpful as was the entire staff. I think our family tried everything on the restaurant menu and it was all wonderful. Enjoyed the diving in St. Croix but the snorkeling at the Sand Castle...More

HI we used to do all inclusive as well all the time because it was a great deal during school vacation weeks (teachers on trip). St Croix is very inexpensive or average to what u would pay in US towns. The restaurant at Sand Castle is excellent but overpriced. Typical hotel prices. Its convenient and I believe they re closed on Monday and Tuesdays. Go into Fredericksted town about 5 min car ride or 15-20 minute walk. You can see the pier from the hotel- the pier is the center to, n if you walk into the town and two blocks or so in. and sample the small mom and pop places and they are cheaper and traditional St Croix dishes. There is a couple supermarkets you can go and get lunch meat and basics and save some money if you book a room with a kitchen or mini fridge.Ask around for location of stores one is close I believe it is stop and shop and there is a nicer one closer to Christenstead about 20 min away. Taxi rides were not expensive but we traveled with 8-10 people so we all chipped in and rented a van.I recommend you rent a car for couple days and drive around and explore. There are many local and little hidden gems you will find close by. The people are very nice ask and they will tell you places to visit. With all this hurricane destruction going on I would check with hotel owners before you book because they were hit pretty bad.

The island has much to offer. So having a car could enhance your visit.
