My trip was incredible. I was at the ritz for a very short time but hope to be back. Jennifer at the front desk was wonderful and accommodated all of my needs. Charles at the residents bar was a joy to be around. He seemed to really enjoy his job and was very attentive and made me feel like I belonged! The Christmas decorations were beautiful. It was a wonderful stay and I’d love to return.
We had a lovely stay and marveled in the beauty of this island. Rooms, all with an ocean view, were fresh and spotless, with attention given to your every need. Service was always friendly - and we especially enjoyed meeting Nakita at Coconut Grove so be sure to have a meal there overlooking the sun-soaked Bay. We also recommend the snorkel cruise on the Lady Lynsey; even saw the Milky Way on the magical sail back from St. John.
We brought our family of 4 back to stay on the club side of this beautiful hotel. We had several great meal and drinks at Coconut Cove beachside bar/restaurant. Xavier was the bartender several of the nights - he is beyond kind, professional, and overall a beam of shining light that welcomes you back. Be sure to visit this bar if you are staying on property.
This is a beautiful and outstanding hotel. The grounds are magnificent, the rooms exactly as you would expect, the service impeccable. There are a few words of caution however to anyone looking to book here. First, it is fairly isolated and an unpleasant;y long drive over winding roads to get there. Second, the prices once at the hotel for everything are obscene. There is no other word. A can of Diet Coke is $4, a small plain Cesar salad is $22, a cup of coffee in the morning is $5, a small (the size of a small sandwich bag) bag of popcorn with maybe a cup full of popcorn is $6. I could go on and on but no doubt the reader gets the picture. Prepare to pay crazy high prices for everything from this otherwise wonderful hotel that has no conscience about charging the prices they do because there are no other options. …
As expected of a Ritz-Carlton, the property was top notch with good sized rooms, a great beach and swimming pools. What made it special was the staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful. John, the restaurant manager was outstanding. We appreciated efforts by Lisa in Bleuwater restaurant and Bassimah and Jabari at the front desk
We came here for a second honeymoon and were treated with rum punch at check-in and sparkling wine in our room. Since the resort was not full, they gave us an upgrade to a top floor suite due to my Marriott status. Unbelievable views of the resort, the beach, Turquoise Bay and St. John. The staff amazed us with their service. From golf cart rides around the property to finding beach and pool chairs and towels, it was taken care of. A shout out to Bruce, John and JJ in particular. The restaurants also had great food and service. I will write separate reviews of them. The suite itself was large and immaculately clean. Getting housekeeping twice a day spoiled us. There was always a supply of as many free water bottles as we needed. Our wireless phone service always worked even in this remote corner of the island. I was impressed with the Wi-Fi service as the multiple networks allowed for uninterrupted connectivity. Taxi service from the resort is not cheap but it's always quickly available. Shuttle service to and from nearby restaurants is included in the resort fee. Many water activities are also included. Alas, there is one way this resort can improve. Unlike the Ritz-Carlton hotels in Grand Cayman and Aruba that have a Pina colada machine which makes amazing drinks, this Ritz-Carlton does not.…
Everything - and I mean everything - was superb! The staff, particularly Bassimah, Jay, and Jemar were beyond accommodating and gracious. The laidback but prompt service enabled us to truly relax with poolside drink service. The layout is the resort is perfection - infinity pool overlooking the beach and bay with access to kayaks, paddle boards and hobie cats steps away. Our only regret is missing the excursion to Moha beach to see the turtles, but we will have to make sure to do it next year!
The resort is beautiful and newly renovated. The staff are extremely helpful and well trained. Pool was beautiful and clean. Nice towels and suncreen available. The food overall was tasty, but nothing you couldn't find on the main land. I learned from speaking with some of the staff that there is NO fishing industry. Our ability to get local sourced food was zero. This was across the island and St John's.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. We had to make a last minute changes in plans from a disastrous start to our VI visit. We had 3 rooms, in the same building. We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing time mostly by the pool. Hubby, myself and 4 adult kids had a blast playing corn hole and pop a shot on the beach. Also loved taking out the Hobie cats. All around superb family vacation. We didn't have any youngins with us, but the kids pool offerings were pretty cool! Also, they were dead serious about 18 and up in the adult pool. We appreciated that.
Absolutely fantastic service. Great location and a beautiful property. Make sure to book the club level for great food and snacks complimentary throughout the day. I want to mention a few of the staff like Jamar the helped with luggage and transportation though out the resort. Great guy!
