I don't think the hotel is as bad as some of the reviews I read. It was a very low room rate so I didn't expect it to be glamorous. It was definitely safe. It was clean. The water view was nice. The hotel bar was nice in the evening and was outside. I never tried the restaurant, but the food looked good. There are restaurants within walking distance. It is a bit noisy because there's a busy street right out front of the hotel.

I had rented to rooms for one night the end of October to do a little shopping in St Thomas before heading to St John for the week. Checkin was easy but the rooms are very run down. When we arrived at our room, the water was coming out of the faucet rust color. The icing on the cake was there was no water from 2Am on. When I tried to call the front desk from the phone in the room it was broken, no phone numbers indicated on the phone. I called from my cell only to be routed to voicemail. Around 7 AM I spoke to a person who said this has happened before it was a problem in that area of STT. I asked for water bottles so we could brush our teeth and they did give them to us. Just gross old run down, could not flush toilets people were jumping in the pool to rinse off. No compensation at all for the inconvenience all said and done $440 and it was a pit.

The room had bed bugs!! They moved us from one room to another and still woke up with insect bites!! When we told the staff they said they don’t have bed bugs so it wasn’t that however, I recorded bed bugs literally walking on the bed and had to show video in order for them to believe me ! They did not come to the room to check all they did was move our room! I will be contacting Expedia about this issue as I booked with them!

My flight was cancelled twice - due to the storm in New York yesterday, and then because of United Airlines cancelling their flight today. So, because it is labor day weekend and everywhere is booked. I'm here! It's awful. Dated, popcorn walls and ceiling. Zero art on the walls. Zero personality. I truly would rather sleep on the beach - except for mosquito's. The pool is bland with nothing. I don't see anywhere to actually hang out if you wanted to stay and hang out here, that is... I'm now supposed to fly out tomorrow morning, so essentially my room shouldn't matter too, too much. But it does!!!!! This has been such a nice trip to St. Thomas, and it ends here!? Ugh. And believe me, I've travelled all over the world and stayed in some scary places, but at least they had some personality to connect to. This place doesn't have any personality at all. It is AWFUL. If I wasn't leaving tomorrow first thing, I'd get out of here now. The net, net? Go ANYWHERE but here. Really, I mean it.

DO NOT stay here. Absolutely and unequivocally an insane waste of money. Buying a tent would be better. A lot of low life/criminal locals hang around and loiter near the entrance. We saw drugs being openly smoked within 5 feet of the door. DO NOT BRING CHILDREN HERE IF YOU DO NOT WANT THEM EXPOSED TO ILLEGAL DRUG USE (HARD DRUGS). The counter employees were very slow and muted, it seemed like they were the ones on vacation. I'm not sure I have ever seen someone care less about a job. The bell boy/bag man was awesome, literally the only 5 star part of this experience. The rooms look like they were destroyed in a hurricane and then rebuilt in a week by four guys who had 1 hammer between them. It's like your car blew up and you threw some duct tape on it and called it a day. It looks so luxurious in the pictures, but it is mostly a facade. AVOID AVOID AVOID. They deleted my review somehow (along with many other 1 and 2 star reviews). Do not be fooled by the 3 star rating, they paid or used some fine print regulations to get negative reviews pulled. Horrid hotel.
