The view is spectacular! The rooms weee very clean. The open air bar and restaurant was very nice. The pool was gorgeous. This place far exceeded my expectations and I will definitely return to this resort in the near future!
At a friend's recommendation, I made at Emerald Beach Resort. I'd seen the property years ago, but never stayed there. I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance of the property is quaint and comfortable and the beach on Lindbergh Bay is clean and relaxing. Emerald Beach has all the full-service hotel amenities of larger resorts that charge twice the price. I look forward a longer stay there on the next visit to St Thomas.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights pre-cruise. We had checked out some other resorts before we booked and their prices were much higher, so we chose Emerald Beach. It is in desperate need of renovation. We were put on the second floor and had to lug all our stuff up the stairs because there is no elevator. Went to dinner the first night and food was decent. Service was pretty good. The second night was a different story. Waited about 45 minutes for drinks and about 1-1/2 hrs for dinner. Crazy! The morning of checkout, there was no water! What??? It would go on for a few seconds and then go out for a few minutes. My husband managed to shower that way, but I didn’t bother. Calls to the front desk, we were told they were working on it. Couldn’t wait to leave! The best things about this resort is the beach and the views.…
The Hotel is clean and has a great view of sunsets. Restaurant, bar, and beach, plus ability to rent water sports gave us many options to enjoy our vacation. Staff is very friendly and taxi readily available to take people to town.
This place was a dump and there was literally a huge dump in my toilet when I checked in. The beach chairs look 30 years old and disgusting. The place looks like it’s in foreclosure. Food is overpriced and they have no real breakfast option. They are far away from town so you are stuck with whatever they do or don’t have.
The beach is really nice along with swims. If you want to see turtles while snorkeling, go to Brewer’s Beach which is a few miles away on the other side of the airport. Take care of you bar staff with tips….and they’ll take care of you.
The Emerald Beach Resort does everything right for your St Thomas vacation! This is our fourth time visiting this beautiful beach but the first with Emerald Beach Resort and we are SO Happy that they survived the storms! Well maintained with friendly staff throughout; Emerald Beach Resort is a friendly gateway to one of the hidden gems of the island. Within a reasonable walk from the airport; daily take offs and landings only "bother" you 5 - 7 minutes a day as each flight is loud for between 20-45 seconds each... the sugar sand beach, tranquil water ( in four times visiting this area we have NEVER not been able to go into the water) and friendly staff quickly convinces you that you have made the right decision.
Needs updating, billing process is a disaster. For a resort employees don't seem happy to be there and need training on service to the customers. Food was good but pricey. To go presentation horrible threw everything in one box on top of each other an entree became a food bowl. Needed some ice after spending over $50 on food and was scolded that they don't have enough ice.......
Didn't stay at the hotel but had two hours to kill before a flight. We took the ferry from St Croix and needed a place to hang out. Now I'll admit I was not a fan of the place before as had issues with rooms in disrepair many times when I came for work. We went straight to the bar, but I was pleasantly surprised, the appearance of the place and beach was nicer and cleaner than I remember. We had a few drinks at the bar (well more than a few) and lunch. The bartender Tyler was awesome and kept drinks full even when busy and the food was tasty. Next time we have to ferry over for a flight we will do an overnight at Emerald Beach.
Right next to airport, kind of run down. LOUD wedding party one night so no hope of sleep as the reception was in the open air bar and supposedly shut down at 9 but went well into the wee hours. Always out of towels. Services listed on website were not available. Pool was nice but also right next to loud bar. Cruise ship drop offs and others not staying at hotel would take over the beach in the afternoon and it was LOUD with jet ski rentals etc... right outside your window so no chance to relax as windows all face right out to beach. Cafe was slow and would just hand you a menu and tell you to go sit down. Food was not great. Snack shack was not ever open on time. Room refrigerator had to be unplugged as it was shreaking at us. Had to ask to fix TV. Showers would go from burn to freeze with no in between. Heard other guests also complain about that. Sadly if they did a bit of maintenance and curbed some of the bar activity and beach overcrowding with weird stuff like jet ski rental it would not be too bad of a place. Most of the people staying there seemed like the older couples here to relax crowd so they really missed the mark with the hope of repeat stays. The views were great but not worth the extra noise and chaos.…
