This is exactly the type of experience I wanted my last night before flying out. The friendliest staff (one of them lent me their personal charger as I had lost mine sometime that week!) and such lush grounds kept me on my vacation mindset instead...More
Very unexpensive hotel with great location near the airport. The building needs a remodel but works fine. Beach bar is great and staff is very friendly. The only downside i would say is that food at the bar is limited so to dine you need...More

On arriving at the building it said to me "Bates Motel" The grounds are lovely. The beach location is "to die for" however, the buildings/rooms are not well kept. They need to update the hotel. The food was good and the service was also good.
We were looking for a hotel at the last minute and booked rooms at this oceanfront hotel. Fun tiki bar with a good burger, drinks were well poured and staff was very accommodating. The hotel is old, two out of three rooms had leaks, cable...More

If you're talking about Marriott's Frenchmans Reef Resort it's far to walk lol. Frenchmans Reef is on the west end down town towards Charlotte Amalie near Redhook bay. Your best choice is rent a car, or take a taxi shouldn't be more than $25 bucks to get there or less! If you were to walk it would take you close to 2.5hrs to walk there depending on how fast you walk hahaha it's close to 10miles but also take into consideration you will be hiking up and down mountains because the terrain is not like US terrain where it's flat!
Good luck :) St. Thomas is my second home I visit every year.
