My husband and I stayed at the Flamboyan on the Bay (formerly Magen's Point Resort) from April 9-16 of 2016. We are RCI members and traded for a studio unit at this resort. We were looking for a place that was central to the island and a good jumping off point to get out and explore the island. This resort...

Returned in March from our annual visit to Magen's Point Resort (MPR) aka Flamboyan. The resort looked good and we were able to check in upon our arrival. Our unit has received a new toilet and bath sink since our 2015 visit (YAHOO!) We usually skip the resort orientation but decided to attend this year. Glad we did! We met...

We were a family of 4 adults and enjoyed this resort very much. The unit was a little dated but accommodated us very well. Our view of Megans Bay made up for the lack of inside amenities like a dishwasher or full oven. We prepared breakfast, lunch and a couple of dinners without a problem. The grounds are beautiful and...

Hotel was at the top of a hill after a narrow winding road. The AC was not working, but Carla helped us immediately and changed our room. The view from balcony was gorgeous. We got a first fl room since my wife can't walk well. The room was clean and we had what we needed. The pool area was beautifully...

This is a small secluded quaint resort. The lush grounds are a pleasure to view. We stayed in a studio that had a small refrigerator, two burner stove, coffee pot and microwave. The bed was very comfortable, some recent updates had been done but a few items needed attention in the room. The room as clean and views outstanding. We...

When our trip was delayed 3 days because of the blizzard, Lori, Carla, and Wanda were so helpful both on the phone and once we arrived. Lori worked with us to extend our stay. We are so grateful! We spent some time at the resort, but found it so convenient to the island's many treasures that it was more of...

We look forward to our yearly visit to Magens Point. Wonderful staff, secluded resort, with a great restaurant/Bar. Located just a half mile from Magens Beach. If you are okay not being on the beach this I recommend this place. A 15 minute drive to StThomas or Red hook. Your only a short drive to everything.. Although there are coffee...

We had an enjoyable time at Magens Point Resort aka Flamboyan. It was clean and the grounds beautiful, staff was great. We love Gary Rosenthal! the massage therapist. I had a hot/cold stone massage that was amazing. Gary told me some things about my health that I was aware of and should possible look in to. My husband had a...

I just got back from my second trip to this resort and it was a much better than the first time, they now run on their own generator, so power is not an issue. They still have a great staff, but the food at the on site bar and restaurant seems to have slipped a little. All in all a...

I traveled to St. Thomas with some friends for the first time. We stayed at this time share resort in the mountains/hills. It was not easy to get around and we didn't feel comfortable renting a car because they drive on the left hand side and there are so many hills, turns, pot holes etc. The views were amazing, pool...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Flamboyan on the Bay Resort & Villas is a two and a half star, unpretentious and very relaxed resort facing Magens Bay. Our facilities include two restaurants, one Italian finer dining featuring a wine-mojito bar, and the pool sports bar with burgers, bbq, pizza and sandwiches. We offer two jacuzzis, tennis courts, a coffee-deli-wine on site shop with breakfast, a gaming room, a small fitness center offering also yoga, zumba and massage services. All our studios and villas have been tastefully redone, and are fully equipped with kitchenettes, microwaves and small fridges, plus energy efficient air conditioning units. Most units also face Magens Bay, and you can wake up to spectacular views of the bay, or watch the sun set from your balcony while sipping the cocktail of your choice.Last year RCI awarded us recognition for excellence in hospitality services, and since 2010 we have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars upgrading our facilities. We may not be for everyone, true. But if you are looking for that "limin" effect that locals brag about.. come stay with us. We promise you an unforgettable experience. Flamboyan on the Bay Resort & Villas is what the islands should be all about. ... more   less
