... it meets your needs and expectations. To make a long story short, the Sapphire Beach Resort is not a "resort" in the traditional sense of the word. It is basically a condominium complex, with some units owned and rented like hotel rooms by a management company, and other individual units rented by their owners. The units are up/down two-story...

Too many times than not, I think that people seem to take the time to write a review when they have had a bad experience rather than when they have had a great one. =( That being said, as much as I'd like to keep this place a little secret paradise of mine, I absolutely HAD to write this review......

We stayed at Sapphire Beach in a residence that friends of ours own. We had a terrific time. The facility is older and showing its age in places. The hard part is that the restaurant and bar spaces at the pool and the main hotel building are shuttered. We were told that there is some litigation going on with the...

Stayed at Sapphire Beach in building C and rented through VRBO. The unit was not updated but it was very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. I think its important to note that it is not so much of a resort as it is many condo buildings that have a 24 hr front desk. There are no laundry facilities...

Stayed in a timeshare. The keys are the original metal door keys from years ago, no safety features at all. 2nd floor patio door would not lock. Restaurant and Bar was shuttered. Beach was not clean or raked. We went there to be on the beach but rented a car and drove to another beach that was clean and kept....

My husband and I stayed at a private owner's condo from VRBO, unit # B202, in October 2009 for our 5th Wedding Anniversary. The condo is well kept and exactly at promised in the multiple emails and phone calls I shared with the owner. Red Hook is only a couple of minutes away with a lot of restaurants, bars, a...

We just returned from a week at Sapphire Beach Resort and I couldn't wait to write a review. Sapphire beach is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in a Villa in Building B which is a great location. We found the villa on the VRBO website that many other reviewers have recommended. The reviews on here have been so mixed, I was...

My review is dedicated to Hammock in Heaven more than the resort. We rented from the owner Peter. He was very fast on his replies to my many emails. His onsite manager Sam was just as helpful. The room was great, king bed slept well and having a corner unit the balcony with hammock was really heavenly. The kitchen and...

SapphireBeach08, Individual Unit Owner at Sapphire Beach Resort, responded to this review

I couldn't agree with the reviewer more. The owner of this unit has received dozens of good reviews on the rental sites. He has the best property manager who makes sure the condo is good condition and well cleaned.

Rented from Alan over the internet - he put us in a unit that wasn't even his. We found out when the actual renters knocked on our door. His "manager" then threatened to call security or the police when we weren't moving fast enough (we had already unpacked, and I was at the grocery store) - never mind come to...

SapphireBeach08, Individual Unit Owner at Sapphire Beach Resort, responded to this review

Sam is not Alan's manager. He only does airport pick up for guests of the owners he works for. Sam is the manager of the unit that these folks originally moved in to (E103). The unit was open in anticipation of the arrival of the guests that had actually rented E103. I don't know if the reviewer got the wrong...

We are at Sapphire unit E301 for two nights to extend our vacation--after a week in St. John we were spoiled and not sure what to expect. Booked this unit through the owner on vrbo and it is absolutely beautiful --completely remodeled, beautiful high end decor and great corner location. The resort is fine, as people have noted there are...
