I have recently had the pleasure of staying at the Castle Hotel which is found in the heart of Merthyr Town, for the past month due to renovations being done on my home. I was very unsure about staying at this hotel after reading some of the reviews online but upon my arrival these uncertainties were quickly abolished as I...

I recently stayed in the castle hotel for over 7 weeks while my house was under renovation. They have the most friendly and helpful receptionists ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. If nothing else had gone right with hotel these ladies ensured I would have left with a good impression. Fortunately everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I...

Don't stay here under any circumstances. It was weird, dimly lit, failing electronics, Mouldy walls and windows, far too many mirrors for comfort, weird holes in the wall behind bed headboard with loads of cables running in - and to top it off the plug didn't fit the bath tub. only one member of staff on duty at any time,...

My husband and I were invited to join a party for a 90th birthday celebration meal of a neighbour. It was a set 3 course meal of leek and potato soup, beef dinner and apple crumble dessert. Each course was delicious with plenty of food and excellent service. We all had a lovely evening in a very comfortable restaurant.

This hotel charged £62 for bed and breakfast for two! Excellent value. Easy to find and pay and display car park just minutes away. Be careful this car park shuts all day on a Sunday! We were nearly caught out! Yes this hotel is a little dated from the outside but this is reflected in the price! Carpets lovely and...

Stayed here when we visited BPW , nice clean warm hotel, friendly staff, room was adequate for myself, might have been cramped for 2, a bit dated but clean and functional. Hotel has a bar, made welcome and as it was a week before Christmas they had parties going on, we managed to get into the party after the entertainment...
