It's difficult to give a high rating to a hotel in Freeport that is not on the beach! While the rooms are dated, ours was clean and very spacious. Staff are great, and if you take advantage of the free bus service to Island Sea Resort, you can get the beach experience. There are scheduled grocery runs, just be prepared...

I don't agree with another reviewer saying it's a roach motel, sure it's not the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, it's a simple hotel. I know what a roach motel is believe me I checked into one in Vallejo, California and checked out 5 minutes later. The staff are really friendly, Stacy, Nettie made us feel at home. Had some problems with...

Island Resort and Golf Club is a very small "resort" in Freeport. There is no longer a golf club since it was destroyed by the hurricanes in 2004. The area around the hotel is very isolated and run down due to the hurricanes and they have never built it back up again. The resort touts they are within walking distance...

NO Security, NOT A RESORT, ONE pool fits 10 and it would be FULL. Pay for electricity. A/C not working; refrigerator HOT; no ice machine on premises; no golf course to be seen; We checked in at 4 pm and checked out at 5 pm!
