I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all the staff. Particularly Genie, I was travelling alone on business and it was my first time in the Bahamas, Genie organised a solo tour for me tailored to what I wanted to see, made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed! In the evening I went for one drink at the bar as I was alone and ended up staying all night as the girls at the bar are friendly and the locals too! Would 110% return and recommend. Room was absolutely immaculate too!

The hotel is nice. It’s a pity that it was rainy on the day we arrived and couldn’t enjoy the pool. We had limited time spending on the island, Genie was very helpful in organising us a lovely tour customising our needs.

The Bell Channel Inn is a very nice place to stay at when on Grand Bahama. Staff was very friendly and I felt they all took good COVID precautions. The rooms are spacious and the ac is very cold. Food and friendliness of staff at the Upstairs on the Bay Restaurant was amazing. I really enjoyed my welcome Bahama Mama drink, the conch fritters, the steak with mac and cheese and the cracked conch. For a 7 night stay in a very central part of the island with great food, clean rooms and friendly staff, I highly recomment the Belll Channel Inn. And go relax by the pool...

This is a Lovely little place. Every single employee was helpful and very kind. The room was comfortable with some needed small repairs. The pool was clean and gardening maintained. The Concierge, "Gennie" went beyond expectation with sending a friend to my room so I could do some private jewelry shopping. We very much enjoyed our stay. It may be just what you are looking for if you want a smaller more personable stay while you are on the island.

We had got to Freeport just after hurricane Dorian. There was a lot of damage but the staff at Bell Channel did a lot to accommodate us. Genie and Lisbeth were great at arranging our activities, scuba and swimming with pigs, as well as arranging transportation. You can count on them to to help you with anything. Also, great food at the restaurant and top notch scuba excursion service. I would definitely like to stay there again. I highly recommend Bell Channel Inn.

My fiancé and I were traveling, I am an American citizen and my fiancé a Venezuelan I lost my passport and had a friend book the room for us. The RACIST woman (thing) called immigration and told them there was a Spanish looking couple in the hotel. Immigration came by aggressively and arrested us. Someone found my passport and returned it to immigration and immigration sent me back to Miami 4 days after they held me. My fiancé is still being processed and is being deported to venezuela. She overstayed because immigration sees your ticket and the time and they stamp a few days for looking latino. The fine is very expensive so don’t overstay.

Besides all of that drama before any of that happened the restaurant served my fiancé rotten pork chops and I still got charged after they took the plate with rotten meat and foul smell.

Moral of the story, horrible place to go to. Very racist front desk staff

Dear Michael, I am so sorry to hear this happened to you. I deeply sympathize with your situation - losing your passport while in a different country is everyone's biggest fear. I do apologize for the behavior of the immigration officers that came to you, that was unnecessary, but I am curious to know, why do you believe that we called them? We have no way of knowing that a guest has overstayed, if you had come to us and said this was your situation, we would have tried to help you sort it out. Immigration in the majority of countries around the world, take overstaying VERY seriously - even if it is only by 1 day. They WILL come and look for you at the address you have told them you will be staying at, when you entered the country, and we have no authority to stop them. So again, I am terribly sorry this happened to you and I am glad that you were able to get your passport back. I do however, respectfully ask that you do not blame us for what happened, as the situation was not due to any fault of our staff. I do hope that you and your fiancé are both doing well!

Nice and clean rooms with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The hotel staff is very friendly and will attend to whatever you need. Room c-6 has a wonderful view of the bay. The on-site restaurant serves delicious food with a friendly staff. We had great breakfasts as well as lunch—conch chowder is worth a try. There is not much development around the hotel, but Blu next door is a fun bar with a free pool table and karaoke Thursdays. The market next door offers yoga and a line dance party weekly. I would return to this hotel if I come back to the Bahamas.

Every time I come to Freeport my friends and I stay at Bell Channel Inn. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They have a dock slip for our boat and run runners waiting for us at the outside bar. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a true Bahamian experience.

A the moment there are no beach shuttles, however the beach and Port Lucaya it is a 15 min walk from Bell Channel or 5 minutes by bus or taxi. The beaches are free - the previous response of the $20 was due to it being a private beach and it was accessible for free if you sat through a timeshare talk/presentation. However, there are lots of beautiful public beaches that are free. Bell Channel has microwaves in the rooms. Should you need anything, please just let us know and we will do what we can to get it for you!
