Nice beach, good snorkeling there. Pool was ok, hot tub mostly tepid, not hot. Bugs in the unit. Staff kind of combative about the pool towels. Amenities in the unit were so-so. The complex in general is understaffed. Amenities listed in the ad are not there. Restaurant not really motivate to sell you a dinner, turned us away because of a party of 10 that was already seated and had ordered drinks. They couldn't handle any more after that.
With RCI timeshares, you have to keep expectations low. That way, you can be pleasantly surprised versus eternally disappointed. That being said, we were very pleasantly surprised at this resort. It was in a beautiful spot, with a lovely beach. Although the decor was slightly dated, the attention to detail was there, including artfully folding our towels, changing towels every day, and raking the beach. We had a lovely time on the island, and went to some beaches that were completely deserted except for our family. The pool and grounds were lovely, and we enjoyed our entire time there. Perks included a workout room and laundry. The restaurant served lovely meals right next to the beach. All staff were very friendly. We would absolutely go again, and I would recommend this resort to anyone. …
The resort is perhaps a little dated, but very clean and well maintained. The beach is great! There weren't many other people there the week we were and, quite frankly, we thought we had checked in to a senior's residence. If you just want a nice place to chill, Island Seas is great, but if you're looking for a lot of activity and things to do, there might be other places worth considering.
Great little spot! Beach was perfect with authentic food options on either side, on property bar was a bit slow and expensive buy isn't that expected with these places. Rooms were a good size, beds comfy but amenities in room were lacking...no fry pan or pot but there was a coffeemaker! It wasn't busy so there's no prob finding a lounger in the sun at the beach or pool. Staff were very accommodating when our flight was delayed by 8 hrs and allowed us to check out at 530pm! A good spot for a simple vacation if you're not looking for luxury but that shouldn't be expected with RCI anyway!
My husband and I decided to go to the Freeport Bahamas for our 5th anniversary. The ocean view was amazing when we arrived. Unfortunately that was the only nice part about this resort. When we walked in the room and looked around everything from the ceiling, Bathroom, and bedroom was disgusting we decided to leave. This place needs an entire renovation it’s nasty and old! Messed up our entire anniversary trip! DONT STAY AT THIS NASTY PLACE! I wish I could post the pictures here.
This property is very dated but that is not the worst thing about it. The front desk staff was annoyed anytime you asked them anything. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept it.. I think it was original. The appliances did not work, we did not have a frying pan or spatula in our room, had to ask for them. Our safe also didn't work and at check in they asked us if we wanted to rent the safe for $5 per day and if we said no then we were responsible if anything was missing or stolen... AND the safe didn't work. Asked to have it repaired and that never happened. The pool and outside bar were beautiful! The best part of this resort was the bar staff, the one server in the restaurant and the people that we met. Unless they made some major updates and replaced the entire front desk staff I would not go back. Location and beach were awesome as well. …
It starts at the top, with a manager who was always unavailable and who had an employee out washing her car. There were many employees, but they never seemed to get anything done. Poorly run. No list of inventory so unit didn't have even the basics. You had to keep asking. Maybe you would get dish soap and towels before the week ended.
We were so disappointed in our room, the facilities, the food, the washed away beach....the only ray of sunshine is Frank and the cats. The staff is nice and tries to be helpful but it's clear owners didn't put insurance money back into the resort after the 2019 storm and the place is awful. I'll never go there again nor recommend it to anyone.
Oven racks were rusted and unusable. Interior of dishwasher was all rusted, racks for plates bent and rusted and top rotator bar was broken off. Side wall of shower peeling away. Mattress cover/pad had holes ALL the way around it. Kitchen had no dishwasher soap, dish soap or silverware and rusted out can opener. Laundry baskets and irons are standard items that were also missing. There is no transportation or shuttle system and you have to request taxis for everywhere. It got very expensive. $40 for a round trip to grocery store. When we first arrived I asked about public transportation and was told there was none. On our last morning there we found out that one block down the street there is a public bus station but the staff do not tell us that because we would have to leave the property to get to it and they don't want the liability. We were there the last week of January, which is high season, yet they chose to resurface the pool during this time frame. We had no pool. There is a little room for a fitness center that had a broken treadmill and no air conditioning. One working elliptical. There is much more but I will stop here. The pictures on the website make this look like a wonderful place, but it was not. I have been timesharing at least once per year for 30 years. This was the WORST place ever. Staff were unfriendly and bothered by the simplest requests. I would NEVER go back nor would I recommend this place to anyone. The local people were wonderful so I cannot say it was all bad, but I would never, ever stay at this resort again. Proof is in the pictures, which I see no place to upload, sadly or I could prove my post.…
Beautiful beach - but would have rather just taken a tent, dehydrated meals for when Sea Grape is closed & cookstove rather than stay in one of the rooms. This is NOT what we knew in the early 2000's. Due the storm damage and COVID there is little staff and current staff is underwhelming in the extreme. Pro-tip; find another resort for a getaway, Freeport is a real desert and the stench of oil refineries still lingers in out memory.
