I have stayed at Island Seas many times. The grounds are always immaculate, the staff is always friendly and professional. The rooms, however, have seen better days. The cleaning staff does a wonderful job keeping things clean and tidy. The rooms are just in need of some updates and due to the hard times Freeport has experienced, I am just not sure when they are going to be able to afford to make those updates. But I always feel very safe while I am on property and the place is very clean. Every morning when you look out the pool guy and grounds keepers are busy working, the front staff always address issues professionally and efficiently. I stay at Island Seas every chance I get.

With RCI timeshares, you have to keep expectations low. That way, you can be pleasantly surprised versus eternally disappointed. That being said, we were very pleasantly surprised at this resort. It was in a beautiful spot, with a lovely beach. Although the decor was slightly dated, the attention to detail was there, including artfully folding our towels, changing towels every day, and raking the beach. We had a lovely time on the island, and went to some beaches that were completely deserted except for our family. The pool and grounds were lovely, and we enjoyed our entire time there. Perks included a workout room and laundry. The restaurant served lovely meals right next to the beach. All staff were very friendly. We would absolutely go again, and I would recommend this resort to anyone.

The staff very caring and makes the difference. This resort is the best on island. Food in restaurants at resort was outstanding. Large portions and prices were good. Will return here next visit. This resort has a private beach for long walks and mostly calm and friendly surroundings.

Our family was so excited about this trip, and we were so disappointed with Island Seas Resort. The public areas were very nice and the linens were clean. We had three units, and each one was disappointing. Mold on the windows and in the shower, Crumbs in the kitchen drawers. Ceramic tile breaking up. Drywall falling apart. The kitchen in our unit had a skillet that should have been thrown away a long time ago. We had ample plates, cups, glasses, and silverware. We had one small bowl, big enough to stir up a few eggs. My daughter's unit had a lg mixing bowl and a cheese grater, but ours did not. Our bedroom and bathroom smelled like urine. I asked housekeeping to come and clean the bathroom, but it still smelled horrible. If you're going to put ceramic tile in the bathroom, you have to seal the grout so that it doesn't soak up urine. No paper towels and apparently, toilet paper is in short supply. We had a two bedroom unit with two bathrooms, and we were given two bath towels and one washcloth in each bathroom. We were told that we would be able to get into our rooms at 3:30, but we didn't get our rooms until 4:30. We had groceries sitting in the car, while we waited. We ordered food at the bar, in the pool area, and waited over an hour for food, while we waited to get into our rooms. The staff was pleasant. Housekeeping came in each day to empty garbages, whether you answered the door or not. It's a bit shocking when housekeeping just walks into your unit. There is also no shuttle to the airport. I would definitely not recommend Island Seas Resort!

If you are going for a beach vacation this is a great place! The beach is beautiful and you can walk a great distance in both directions to hunt for seashells and just walk in the shallow, clear, warm Caribbean water. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The WiFi is almost nonexistent which is great if you plan on completely unplugging from the world while on vacation. The unit they assigned to us: not so great when comparing it to other RCI units we have stayed at. I think it may be time to audit the amenities that should be standard in a unit at this resort. Our unit was sparsely furnished with the kitchen lacking basic amenities like dinner plates, pot holders and dish towels. Both TV's could use replacing. We ate at Michelle's down the beach to the west and at Maxxi's down the beach to the east. Both places were fantastic!

The unit we were given was unkept and dirty! Very disappointed this had never happened before. This was our fourth time at this resort and I don’t know what happened. Broken glass in the second bedroom’s closet, dirty linens, spiderwebs, appliances that didn’t work. Overall dissatisfied with the stay.

The staff here were incredibly helpful friendly and warm. Only negative is that it is a long way from anything... grocery stores shops even snack shops. Almost everything is a 15 to $25 cab ride. There is a lot to do at the resort in terms of pickle ball shuffle board swimming several pools however we apparently picked a week when no one travels and the resort is like a ghost town. Would be a lot more fun with some fellow travelers

Don’t travel with this property there is many more better options/properties available on this island. Crouches will wake you up and scare during your stay and you would have to wait for days to get towels.

Started with them not having our room ready when we arrived and continued with a seeming lack of interest in finding a timely solution to the issue or any concern for us as the customer. After 45 minutes of waiting we finally got provided temporary accomodations for the night and while they were clean, there wasn't even a knife or a cup in the unit. When we asked the next morning about when our reserves unit would be ready we were told it was up to us to follow-up with the front desk. Finally after multiple check-ins we were told to come across at 3:30pm (so lost most of the 1st day) and put in a room with a defective smoke detector and patio door, after being assured that the manager had done a thorough check of the room due to the previous days issues. Talked to other guests and they had similar issues with check in and it wasn't like the resort was really busy Went looking for convenience store that shows on map in lobby and has sign on wall of building outside. Told by employee they hadn't had that for a few years and would need to spend $15 each way to go supermarket If it wasn't for Vanessa and Jermaine in the F&B the rest of the week would have been similar Won't be back and wouldn't recommend

Beds are comfortable, staff is friendly, but units are in need of repair. Air conditioning is noisy, with at least 2 in each room, keeping you from sleeping soundly. Sliding door to balcony wouldn't open. Pool was too cold to use. How is this even possible in the Bahamas? Restaurant was very good. Resort is located too far from groceries, restaurants, etc, so you must either rent a car to get around or a taxi.
