My husband and I traveled down to Grand Bahama Island from September 16th to September 23rd (2010). My parents had given us a gift certificate for a week stay at select resorts and we decided to use it on the Taino Beach Resort. With the many mixed reviews I was a bit leery about the resort, however, when we got...

We had the pleasure of staying at both the Flamingo Hotel and The Marlin at Taino Beach. The Flamingo was pretty consistent with the descriptions I read by other visitors. It was a place to crash for the night but the air conditioning did not work well and the floor was in need of repair. The staff at both the...

Just returned from staying at the Marlin at Taino Beach for a week. Traveled with two small children (5 and 7 yrs old) and had a wonderful time at this location. This is one of the most lush and nicely kept tropical locations I have been to in the carribean. The resort is extremely well kept and the service at...

My wife and I went there for our honeymoon. At the resort you have a swim up bar that opens at 1pm and happy hour starts at 4pm. The water slide is fun and you can walk to the beach. The good thing about the resort it’s not crowded. If you are looking for crowds (spring brake type) go to...

My husband and I stayed in the Marlin for our honeymoon. Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations! The staff was extremely friendly and were always there to answer your questions. There was a security officer, Raquel, who stood out the most to us. When we were waiting for a taxi we told her that we bought some lobster but...

This was our first time at the resort and our stay was from August 30 through September 3, 2010. From the moment we arrived at the property we were greeted by the extremely friendly and helpful Bahamian staff. We met Melissa, who is part of the Tanio Beach Sales Staff. She was upbeat and personal and took the time to...

We got robbed by the staff while on a jet-ski ride and by the guy who invited us to take a tour of the resort, told us to give him $10.00 as a deposit for the day and would returned to us at the end of the day but fortunately for him it was his day off. I hope that...

I stayed here with my family (husband/child/my parents). We rented a car so it would be easier to get to local attractions. Parking is free at the hotel. We visited the City Market supermarket but the selection was very limited and pricier than in the US - most of the food is imported so travel with a few items in...

We stayed at the Taino Beach Resort, in The Marlin building. The Arrival/Check-in: We arrived on a Sunday, the first week in August. The cab was $25 from the airport to the hotel. Keep in mind that check-in is not until 4pm, so we had to sit around in the lobby (with a/c at least) until our room was ready....

This place was quiet, the beach was nice and quiet, the pool was pretty quiet too. But beware of loud banging noise in a/c unit in the rooms. That's pretty loud. Which is scary in the middle of the night. Also, there really isnt much to do around here. It's pretty secluded. So, you can take a water taxi to...
