Da'Bayarea is a class A lodge. Lovely people. Wonderful flats. Immaculately clean rooms. Fantastic food. All this amid a wilderness of unimaginably vast and wild flats. A truly special part of the world. Amazing bonefishing. Not a fish every hour but an average of four or five memorable fish a day. Anya and Una do an amazing job of running... More

We stayed at the lodge in April 2016. For background, my friend and I have traveled all around the tropics on flats fishing trips. This was our second stay on Andros and our first at Da Bay Area Lodge. The location is fantastic for bonefishing. Mars Bay is the southernmost settlement on South Andros. That means your runs south are... More

This year I was able to calm down enough from trying to get my fly exactly a foot in front of the passing bonefish that I was able to take in the unique beauty of this area and do some exploring. Checking out the many cays (small islands) and their resident iguanas and birds while scanning for bones and barracuda... More

This is it - paradise! Located on a huge stretch of beautiful, sandy white beach on the tongue of the ocean- this is the best bonefishing Lodge on South Andros. We enjoyed wading out directly in front of the Lodge, fishing for bonefish and watching the rays and fish pass within 20 yards of the beach. Accommodations include a warm,... More

Don't believe that bonefish in the Bahamas are all small. The small fish reputation is simply because there are an awesome number of fish. There is also a lot of empty water. A good guide is essential. Our guide worked hard to put us on bonefish--no small feat since much of the time is spent poling against the wind or... More

When finished if the lodge maintains the level of service provided us (I believe we were their second group) I would definitely rate it five stars. South Andros fishing is exactly as it has always been described - it's bonefish paradise. The lodge is remote which means it is quiet with a sense of being out there on one of... More
