Was staying in a b&b nearby and decided to try the place out. Tiny roads were a bit hard to negotiate buy food is great once you arrive. I had the spring rolls for starter which were perfect! Chicken and mushroom pie next which was nice but not much mushroom. Wasn't really a pie more a casserole with a puff...

We stayed here for one night whilst walking Offa's Dyke. The accommodation was perfect - comfy bed, clean room, good shower etc. But the thing that made this place really special was the owners. We were offered a big jug of iced water when we arrived as we were clearly tired after a hard days walk. We were very kindly...

I stayed here with my daughter as we were walking Offa's Dyke. In a tiny village it seems to attract plenty of people. The food was wonderful - try the lamb shanks - and the people running it (did not get the names) could not be more helpful. Breakfast was just as good. Yummy. I'd go there again if we...

We were made to feel very welcome, had a lovely chat with the girl behind the bar who treated us like a part of the family. Having our dogs with us was also not a problem. Drinks were nice, the food very tasty, and all very reasonably priced. Can't say enough good things about our experience at the Hunters Moon...

The website not up to date re menus. Bagettes are now priced at £7.95/8.95 not £5.95 as per the website. Why do pubs refill sauce bottles, so grubby! Excellent range of beers on tap servered too perfection. Doubt if we will re visit.

This was much anticipated and the reality a disappointment. The landlord was miserable - not the warm welcome described in other reviews. He didn't smile once. He was abrupt. He was very keen to clear away. Our food was ok. The baguettes were fine but the steak pies were average at best. The toilets needed decorating. One ladies loo warned...

My wife and I first visited this pub about 27 years ago with friends, and though we only live about 18 miles away, we have never been back. This was a major mistake, because, as we were nearby, we decided to search it out to bring back memories. We only intended to stop for a quick drink, but decided to eat...

Restaurant full so we had our meal in the bar. Warmly greeted. Special birthday occasion for daughter's 40th. They were very busy which accounted for the delay in being offered menus. Good range and reasonably priced. When food arrived, it was beautifully cooked and taste did not disappoint . We couldn't resist desserts either which were also home made and...

We stayed at the pub as part of our walk along Offa's Dyke Path. Rating the location from that perspective is a 5/5, since it is only 100m or so away from the path. The room we had wasn't very spacious, but we didn't expect it to be so (it is a pub after all) so we were happy about...

Friendly pub, the owners were very welcoming. The food was excellent both in the evening and the breakfast. The room was very quaint and cosy. Excellent shower and comfortable bed. Would love to come back in the summer.
