Called there for lunch on a pleasant day in August. It is a lovely old pub and we were made welcome . We opted for the "two mains for £12" menu. I had the fish and chips, and my wife had steak and ale pie, while our friends had lasagne and also chicken. All agreed that the meals were excellent...

More a pub with rooms than a hotel. Pub was nice and the food was very good. Breakfast was also enjoyable. Unfortunately the rooms were not. The mattresses are old and tired, very uncomfortable. But this is not the main problem. The showers dribble at best, if you are lucky they are warm. If you are unlucky there is no...

First impressions when we arrived, despite the 'Hotel' in the name it was a perfectly sized old Welsh house converted into a B&B, restaurant and pub. On arrival, the service was amazing and friendly, with added personal touches, like escorting you to your room. The room itself was very modern, clean and comfortable, despite the older decor in the main...

Called in for lunch while walking the Montgomery canal (half way between Newtown and Welshpool) just 5 mins from the canal. Friendly welcome and offered menu with special offers suggested. Sat in the lounge (smart with linen table cloths, napkins etc) and ate ham, egg and chips. Quickly served and very hot, with a large bowl of chips. Recommended for...

I stayed at this b&b overnight prior to a visit to Powis Castle and had had a long drive to get there. I received a warm welcome from the staff and enjoyed my stay. The restaurant was nice with good food.

It was good to have wifi in the bedrooms and in the bar and restaurant. The owner and staff were all very welcoming and helpful....

This is a small hotel in the middle of a village and is dated from 1800's. Due to its age it has quirky rooms. The room we had was quaint, it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. The food in the restaraunt was great, especially the Steaks. It is good value for money. Jackie, the owner, and all...
