Oh deary me not sure where to start with this one. I'll start with the bill - £78.75 for an Early Bird meal for a family of four. Two 2 courses, two 3 courses and a bottle of wine. The best part for me was the braised beef - very tender and tasty. My husband had a pie and the...

Called in today on the off chance that we could have a Sunday Lunch having read the reviews on Tripadvisor. Immediately on entering the bar we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who asked if we had made a reservation. As we hadn't it didn't pose a problem and we were taken to a table overlooking the river....

Called with a friend on the way home from Kidderminster. Nice and clean, staff very pleasant indeed. Only wanted a meal with no starters or afters so had a rump steak medium cooked. I have to say the steak was cooked to perfection and the veg and flavour of whole meal was very nice indeed. Would definitely call again with...

This is the second time we have stayed here. Nice rooms and the ones with a river view are really lovely. Easy to get into Abergavenny by Taxi about £10. Staff very helpful and really nice breakfast. Thanks

Rooms are very nice but I found the dining room and communal areas very cold in the morning. We arrived at 2pm and checked in via the bar area. The breakfast was plentiful but the sausage and bacon I found to be slightly undercooked. The dining room could do with being dragged out of the seventies.

I love this place, we attend most weekends, the Sunday dinner is excellent. In this day and age it's very difficult to find food that's consistently good and they welcome my young kids with open arms.

we have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, going back time and time again over the past 30 years. Sometimes we even travel down for an evening meal. We have never been disappointed. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Staff always friendly and helpful. Food excellent.

My fiancé and I had a very special evening meal at the Riverside Restaurant. Because it was a special celebration we were given a table overlooking the beautiful view. The food was excellent as were the staff that served us and it was certainly an evening to remember. We will definitely be visiting again and have no hesitation in highly...

We are an old age couple who enjoy travelling around Britain. We stay at good hotels that serve up good wholesome breakfasts and well cooked dinners.so come lunchtime we do not want to be looked down at when we say no to having lunch in snooty restaurants with overpriced menus. So the Lanwerth Hotel came as a mild shock. We...
