Very good value for money. My starter of white onion soup was excellent. Also the salmon en croute was very good. The trio of sorbets was a lovely way to finish the meal. We will be returning. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Any questions were answered readily even if it meant asking the chef. Will bw returning

Our family have eaten at the Llanwenarth arms for years, from my parents going there for romantic dinners to their surprise Ruby-anniversary dinner that I held there for them a few years ago. We went there today for a family lunch, and six of us arrived to the most spectacular sight of the sun bursting through the clouds over the...

Have used this venue for our Christmas evening out as a group of five ladies for some years but were very disappointed to be shown our table with no table cloth, no crackers and basically no sign of Christmas but a few paper christmas napkins. We asked for a bottle of champagne with our meal and weren't asked what sort...

Visited last Saturday for set menu lunch with friends. Excellent food and incredibly good value in a setting overlooking the river Usk and the hills. Well worth the journey from Cardiff and I shall be going again and would recommend to anyone.

Very good menu and great value for money. Restaurant floor is very well run by the personable Peter. We will definitely make the journey up from Cardiff for another visit. Highly recommend the 17 hour slow-cooked lamb.

First time in over 24 years that I have been remotely disappointed. Bar and restaurant run by one man. This caused service to be slow and one table had their food served by the chef!!! Never seen this before and I found this really off putting and disappointing. Table mats stuck to table, crumbs underneath. Albeit the food is still...

As we live locally we have eaten a few times, but not Sunday lunch. Reasonably priced meal for 2 or 3 courses. They serve at 12,2 or 4pm. Lovely selection. I enjoyed the lamb but others in the party had the beef which looked delicious. Nice rich gravy and a good selection of veg. Will be back.

We recently had a two night stay at the Llanwenarth Hotel , with expectations high we arrived to be greeted by Neil, and we were not disappointed when we were shown our double room with a veranda with views over the river Usk , with Craig y Cilau just across the valley and the Lonely Shepherd rock on to of...

Nice meal but lacking attention to detail and could do with better service from the staff. We all picked from the Evening flyer menu at £19.90 for 3 courses. My parents had been before and commented that some nice picks with a dip are given out after ordering and before the meals are served. No picks were given to us,...
