I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. We went for a birthday break for a couple of nights and our twin room was spacious and attractive. As a hotel with a pub and a restaurant we obviously heard a bit of noise from the bar, but it didn't bother us at all because we had such a nice drink and...

Ten of us booked for a Sunday meal. We had starters, mains and pudding and drinks and it was all very good. There were 2 children and 2 vegetareans and all aspects of the groups food requirements were met very well. Get in early for the specials, our only issue was that 2 of the specials had finished.

We arrived late and hungry. We stepped in to the pub and were welcomed into an intimate gathering room with shy but friendly locals. The landlady graciously ushered us into the dining room where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner from quite an extensive menu. Everything was delish!

Just ate in the Black Bull on two occasions in the last 2 weeks and had a super meal and very good service. just under new, enthusiastic owners who are trying to give Lauder and surrounding area a pleasant place to have a meal and a drink.

He is in the process of changing the menu and serving some decent red wine. All the waiting staff are extremely pleasant and friendly and the owner is very pleasant and accommodating. After...

We have just stayed in Lauder at the end of our holidays in Scotland. This hotel has just recently been taken over and the manager went out of his way to make us and especially our dog(Molly)happy. Molly received a free sausage and we were given a cupcake each. The meals are very reasonably priced as we went for the...

This is a pub I know reasonably well and it has always been dog friendly. Haven't been for a while and recent reviews mixed so with some trepidation we visited tonight. Dog websites still saying it was great. We discovered new owners very keen to get things right and it was brilliant. Excellent food served reasonably promptly and freshly cooked....
