Perfect place to start your summer hikes in the Chartreuse mountains. Good advice and assistance with trip selection and preparation. Nice place to stay, and a very nice Table d'Hôte with all home grown ingredients and a friendly atmosphere.

This B&B is located in the countryside outside of Grenoble, accessed by a winding road. But it's worth the drive to be in a small village in the mountains. The hosts are very welcoming and have provided a very warm and delightful atmosphere for their guests. The modern rooms are in what appears to be a converted barn. My room... More

This is the most precious and charming Chambre d'Hotes we were in. The hosts are very welcoming, interested and interesting, the food is delicious and made of only home-grown ingredients The rooms and the house are comfortable, there is a huge bookshelf with literature about the region.

Our family stayed at Gîte du Chant de l'eau for one night enroute to skiing in Alpe D'Huez. We had a wonderful time in a lovely location with very generous hosts. The dinner was excellent with fresh organic produce that even my selective son enjoyed it. Breakfast was the same with homemade honey, jams, bacon, eggs, breads..... I could go... More

Stayed with family on trip through area. You must have dinner here: the wine, the bread, the apps, the entree, the cheeses all were spectacular. But the amazing desert "chariot" put it over the top and delighted the kids. After dinner we we served a digestive by the centuries-old fireplace. Service was great, even with our limited French.
