We stayed here for one night and were made so welcome. The room was very comfortable and really clean. The breakfast was lovely. If we stayed again we would take our dog as it's dog friendly. Their dog is adorable.

Stayed in room 1. Small but adequate for an overnight stay, with a largish bathroom by comparison. Very comfortable bed (and I don't usually sleep that well in a strange bed). Was worried when I saw the pub opposite that it might be noisy but it wasn't at all. The free wifi was welcome. Christine who checked us in was...

Faultless service from when we stepped in until we left again at the end of our too short stay. Christine, the host was very pleasant and efficient and helpful. Our room was spotless and comfy and the breakfasts were delicious with a really good choice on the menu. Will be back next time we are in the area.

We were visiting Amble to attend a wedding and enjoyed a pleasant two nights here. The rooms are adequate if a little dated but are fully equipped and the breakfast is very nice. Friendly owners and the Guest House is in an excellent location, though parking needs to be on the street.

Very small room overlooking a busy street. Quite steep stairs unsuitable for the infirm. Short walk to the town centre Very good, cooked to order breakfast. Parking on the road outside the guesthouse.

I stayed here recently but found the place very disappointing. My room was a small single room and was cold. The radiator was hidden behind curtains, my head board and a bedside cabinet so little heat actually reached the room. An extra heater was supplied in the wardrobe but when I tried it, it seemed to spend more time off...

I echo the previous reviewer on room 6. It's a shoe box with an en-suite the size of a match box.You could not get a kettle under the tap on the sink it was so small. £70 for this room must be the the most expensive we have ever stayed in if you work it out on £per square foot....
