This hostel is in a good location to the bus station and provides spacious accommodation. The staff are friendly and helpful. It doesn't have the best facilities i.e. the bathrooms are not great, but it is fine for a night or two. The house itself has a lot of character.

I loved staying at this hostel, mainly because the house is so beautiful. The rooms on the first floor look amazing with the wooden floors and some of them with gorgeous Windows. Some of the rooms also seemed to have bathrooms ensuite. The hallway looks just and "living room" look just as amazing with the stone floor. Cant believe I...

Came to stay for just one night before our flight from SJO. Important to note, this Hostel is not close to the airport. Expect at least a 30 minute travel time (even if you have a car). We arrived late in the evening and felt that the area was quite unsafe. There is street parking, but it is strongly advised...

This place is perfect to stay a few nights if you have to be in San Jose. It is close to a big park and has a patio which is good to escape from the crowdy city center. The kitchen and bathroom are clean and the dorm is spacious. In the morning there is coffee for free. I have been...

Every time I have to spend a night in San Jose I thank my lucky stars for Casa del Parque hostel. Roger and Federico have repainted and it's lovely. Clean and neat and friendly, wish I could stay longer. Looking forward to going back.

The staff was friendly. The pictures placed around the lobby area gave nostalgic insight to the history of the hostel building reminding travelers that it was once someone's home; which was a nice touch. The hostel is within walking distance to the center of town. If you like urban hikes, you will pass by some local parks, shops, and "sodas"...

Very nice spacious place at the Parque Nacional. A 13-bed dorm is upstairs, while at the ground level there are a well-equipped kitchen, communal spaces (living room, tv room, terrace in the garden). I liked the fresh flowers and the good quality coffee (included in the price). The hostel is in an area with bars (drunk guests more likely to...

The place is beautiful with huge welcoming rooms. People respect each other, I haven't been waken up by anyone even though I was in the ten people room. I was very well received and felt safe throughout my two days here. I will come back for sure !

It felt like Home, the staff is incredible & always willing to help, the building has so much story and its located in a really convenient place in San Jose where the supermarket and the Central Avenue is at less than 10 minutes. The prices are really affordable I Recomend it a 100%.
