Hazel field House is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Great location, stunning views, comfortable room and excellent 3 course dinner. Breakfast was excellent as well. Moyra and Rod were very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely tea, biscuits and cake on arrival.

A truly excellent stay at this B and B, very comfortable, warm, clean and welcoming. The traditional Galloway house is beautiful with lovely views across the Solway to the hills of the Lake District beyond. Delicious home baking and dinner, with attention to detail throughout to the highest standards. Looking forward to going back soon.

Many thanks to you both for taking the time to write this great review of your recent stay with us here at HH. We enjoyed your company too and we look forward to a return visit at anytime. Let's hope the Scotch mist doesn't show up again!

This is an outstanding B and B. The hosts bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy you stay. The breakfast was the best we had ever had in a B and B and we looked forward to dinner all day. It certainly lived up to our hopes. The rooms are specious and warm and the house well appointed. If...

On arrival we had a very friendly welcome, with an explanation of how the room TV and the shower worked (often problem areas) and then tea and cake in the front room. Room 1 was very spacious with the adjoining well appointed bathroom down a short flight of stairs. The room had a great view across the front garden and...

We stayed for 2 nights, our first visit to Galloway. Our stay was absolutely excellent, and we can't think of anything that could have improved our experience. Rod and Moyra were the perfect hosts, so friendly and helpful. The bedrooms had everything one could need, and were so beautifully decorated. Breakfast was as good as any we have had, and...

Courtesy of a present of a weekend break at Hazlefield House, my wife & I booked in for a late May Bank Holiday weekend stay in Auchencairn. Perfect weather was an added bonus, but not unusual for this coastline, which often basks in the sun whilst others are lurking in the murk. We booked the optional evening meal on the...

We never miss the chance to stay here when travelling to Scotland. It is the most relaxing place set in beautiful grounds with views right over to Cumbria. Moira and Rod are superb hosts, always doing that little bit extra to make you feel really welcome and at home. Breakfasts are amazing and mean we don't usually need any lunch...

Moyra and Rod are fantastic hosts who go way beyond the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect.
