We stayed here the end of November for a family funeral for 2 nights. Jennifer the duty manager was so helpful and friendly nothing was to much trouble for her she went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as she could. The rooms were perfectly adequate and the tea and coffee facilities were good. The onsuite facilities were good with all the toileteries included and plenty of bathtowels there was also bathrobes to use if needed. To sum up a lovely hotel with brilliant staff.

Stayed overnight in a room with sea view. Huge bed with white cotton sheets and a tiny but recently updated ensuite. The room was equipped with everything we needed and particularly appreciated the filter coffee and Tunnocks tea cakes. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would definitely come back

We stayed at the Lauriston for one night prior to a short stay on the Isle of Arran. The hotel is well located on the sea front. Our room was large and had a lovely sea view although the decor and furniture was a bit tired. That said it was very clean and the bathroom had recently been modernised and had a very good walk in shower. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was very good and reasonably priced. Our breakfast was also very good. Special mention to the lady who checked us in. She was very friendly and made us feel welcome. She also cooked our delicious breakfast the next morning and was cleaning the rooms as we left! Unfortunately we didn't get her name but she was a real star and I'm sure she must be a very valued member of staff. We would definitely stay at The Lauriston again and would recommend it to others.
