I was at a business meal we were given a room to ourselves a table that was set beautifully. It felt like we were in a friends house. The waiters were attentive without being interferring. Just perfect. Well worth a visit.

As soon as we arrived we were made so welcome, the hotel is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean - we were shown to our room, one of the Garden Rooms as we had our dog with us. Pets are made so welcome too. The first night 14 of us had dinner in the atmospheric library room and all agreed were...

It is many years since we visited the Open Arms and we were delighted to return recently when we were invited to lunch by friends. If my memory serves me well, The Open Arms was a favourite haunt of Brigitte Bardot away back in the 60s, and this establishment has kept is reputation over the years and has always been...

My family have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions (including my parents wedding in 1992!) and absolutely love it! Highly recommend the Christmas menu, the chicken stuffed with haggis (a firm favourite of both grandma and the dogs), any lamb dish and the pigeon starter. The staff are great and have (on occasion) rustled up gluten free brownies for me...

This family run hotel is very tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, very friendly and the food leaves you spoilt for choice. The bedrooms have everything you need (including a little garden in my case) very spacious and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was served slightly late for us to arrive to a our work place on time but the staff insisted we could...

After quickly evacuating the Bayswell Park Hotel in Dunbar due to a disgusting room, my husband rang the Open Arms Hotel and we were welcomed into their hotel at 9am to find that we could settle into our room even at this early hour. The room was beautifully clean, traditional furnishings and comfortable and the bed was cosy and luxurious....

Another great stay at our favourite hotel. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and the food is excellent with plenty of choice. After a bracing walk on the beach it was so nice to return to the hotel and have a drink in front of the blazing log fire in the lounge. The staff are very friendly and nothing is...

My husband and I have often enjoyed a meal at Deveau's and thought how nice it would be to stay over. We decided to treat our friends for their Pearl wedding anniversary with DBB. As it was a special occasion we payed the £10 supplement to eat in the Library which was well worth it. The food was delicious, especially...

We found this ideal for recovering from several months of stress following a family bereavement. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Through some cold days the hotel was warm and cosy with various lounges, some with a log fire, where you could relax and wind down. The menu for our stay of 3 days provided a great variety of...
