We recently stayed locally for a birthday trip, and ate at the hotel on our first evening. The food was and service were so good, we went back for breakfast 2 days later, then visited again for dinner the following night! The arancini (veggie option) was delicious, and everyone else raved about their meals. Breakfast was equally good. I'm a vegetarian and was spoilt for choice, which makes a nice change to the usual lack of veggie breakfast options. For both our first meal and breakfast, we were served by Donna who couldn't have been more wonderful. She was friendly and made sure we always had everything we needed. We visited a third time for dinner, and everyone enjoyed their meals, but sadly mine was not good. For my main, I had the veggie burger, assuming it would be served with the smoked cheese and onion relish, like the normal burger was, but it was just dry. There was nothing on the bun apart from a very dry burger, some lettuce and tomato. No relish of any kind. It seemed like a bizarre way to serve a burger! The burger itself was so dry, a bit like when you've left an old veggie burger in the freezer for way too long. Consequently, I left almost all of the burger. At the end of the meal, I mentioned my disappointment (no one came to ask during the meal) and the man who served us apologised, but we were still charged the full amount for the burger. I've still left a five-star review, because everything else was excellent and the overall experience from our several visits was very good. I would undoubtedly go back, but I'd have the arancini.

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Ardeonaig hotel. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The location and the accommodation were excellent and the food was of a very high standard. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Had a wonderful nights stay at this hotel. It has recently been taken over by new management and been renovated to a very high standard. Our room was spotless and had a spacious modern bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely and relaxing and the food was excellant as was breakfast. We only booked for the one night but wish it could have been longer. There are still some renovation work taking place but this did not in any way effect our stay and the hotel will be even better once completed. Thanks to Helen and Donna for looking after us and making our stay even more enjoyable.
