Wonderful hotel on the banks of Loch Maree with spectacular views we could never tire of and our room was large and beautifully furnished with harris tweed soft furnishings and a large freestanding bath. The local couple running the hotel were friendly and helpful and the food was of a high standard. The gardens at the back of the hotel...

We unfortunately stayed down the road at the Kinlochewe Hotel and upon discovering Loch Maree we were sorely disappointed. The hotel, its staff and owners were welcoming and friendly in a genuine way. We ate in the restaurant and the service, food and cost were good value but the views were wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel and trust me,...

The Loch Maree Hotel was a little quirky, but comfortable and very clean. The building is older but that does not detract from the experience. The owners were running the hotel at the wind-down end of the season and they were very hard workers. The food was quite reasonable and the bar experience for us was fun. We were working...

Paul and Pauline have to be the best host ever. Nothing was to much trouble, from dawn to dusk, from help in location to visit to extra flasks of sandwiches for our daily trips around the area. The holiday went far to quickly. The Lodges were very clean and fresh with extra water and biscuits, in between some excellent meals....

Myself and a friend stayed for two nights whilst hillwalking in the area. We did not arrive till after 8 when the restaurant was closed however we were offered dinner in the bar area which was very good of them. The hotel is very nice and you can see a lot of effort has been put into the decoration and...

the setting overlooking the loch was fabulous, and certainly "far from the madding crowd" - of people at least if not of the Scottish-midges our room on the first floor was large (a double and single bed) and with still lots of space, as was the bathroom - though the latter would benefit from a proper power shower rather than...

Stopped off here on way to Gairloch to book an evening meal for special occasion whilst on holiday. Owner didn't exactly greet us warmly , esconced on sofa with laptop, as he was in the bar but anyway we booked for later on that evening. On our return shown through to the dining room by polite Eastern European lady (owner...

This hotel near the magnificent Loch Maree has very good rooms. The served food is just excellent, independent of breakfast, starter, main course or desert. It's just a pleasure to stay in this hotel and the dining room with view on the lake. The hotel is located on a remote spot in the Scottish Highlands: WiFi is not continuously delivering...

The hotel is quite isolated so minimal competion exists and staff recruitment must be a problem Stayed here as part of a cycling group Apart from the brownish water etc already mentioned the food could do with a big improvement For the dinner I had haddock with a fish sauce. +++ poured over it and the crumble was definitely shop...

When you go in, the Loch Maree Hotel looks lovely, impressive staircase and painted in a nice shade of green, we booked a twin room which was very nice with a view of the Loch. Unfortunately there are two issues I feel I have to mention out of fairness to others thinking of booking. The first is the water, it's...
