We stayed locally at a BnB so ate at the Hotel bar. The meat dishes were tasty but served with a small amount of veg and chips, would have been nice to have had bigger portions. Otherwise a good meal. Staff friendly.

Lovely hotel, lovely food with large portions. Stayed here on a business trip and I would love to come back. Especially as it is dog friendly. I will be back soon for a personal trip with the dog. Really easy access to some beautiful parts of the islands.

I had to spend a week here through work, the Borrodale hotel was a welcoming, comfortable, warm, well run, oasis of tranquility, in what I can only described as the otherwise very bleak island of south Uist. The staff were great, the enthusiastic chef done really well with the limited "bar style" menu, the food looked and tasted great, the...

When we arrived we had to find someone to book us in as we had waited quite a while and after a long road trip and ferry we just wanted to freshen up. Staff were brilliant. Even though they did not have our booking (due to phone lines not working) this was not a problem! found the food to be...

Where to start!! Well I shall start with Barbara who was fantastic coming in extra early to make us breakfast and even went to the trouble of doing our washing for us, very comfortable rooms which were cleaned every day! The restaurant down stairs was also to a high standard with very efficient staff and cracking food!! Definitely stay here...

Had a celebration meal here because we were staying nearby. The food was reasonably priced and menu was varied. Unfortunately it was nothing startling and the mains were pretty average. Thats the negative side. On the plus side, a bottle of wine was very reasonable priced and the dessert was good. The service was very good and staff very friendly....

Stopped for a night just before catching the early morning ferry. Well, the food in the restaurant was good, very good. Also the service came with a smile and the quality was sure above average. Nice atmosphere in the bar too. The room, however, was a disappointment, value for money very poor here. The place has been lived in many...

Recently stayed in this hotel during a business trip. The hotel is in a nice location which makes it easy to get around North and South Uist as well as Benbecula. Good selection of food on the menu including daily specials. The hotel appears to be popular with both visitors and locals which is alway good to see. The rooms...

The standard menu is the standard run of the mill pub menu but the specials included crab claws and mushroom risotto and risotto with monk fish among other less obvious options. The service was fine and the setting OK.
