Nice hotel rooms are a little old fashioned. The food and the views made were fantastic. Sea food paella was excellent. Breakfast was the best that we had during our week away, with a huge choice and fantastic quality.

Unfortunately the decor and menu are dated, fish fresh but accompanying vegetables inedible. The owners are tired and the accompanying bar prices expensive, making the whole meal very poor value for money.

The actual place itself is quite nice, the rooms are modern and clean, although it can feel a bit like you are staying in someones house. Theres is a couple that run this place and the woman is really lovely and friendly but she does all the cooking so you don't really see her much. The man, however, is so... More

Stayed here for one evening. The single room had everything that was required, including a good hot shower. It was really warm though, so had to have the window open for a while An early start in the morning meant that I wasn't able to get a cooked breakfast, but I was given breakfast cereal and able to have that... Having read the glowing reports on trip advisor we were extremely disappointed with this hotel, on our three week holiday of Scotland, this place was definitely the worst. The food was very average, at breakfast an overcooked kipper fillet was returned to the kitchen, no one came to question the reasoning for this and no alternative was offered. When we... More

Isn't it interesting that disgruntled clients invariably resort to the old 'Fawlty Towers' jibe when they want to have a dig. Hardly original but definitely meant to be damaging. One has to wonder where the 'glowing reports came from. Hazel and her partner appeared to be a fairly affable couple even when i discussed the the kipper with him. This... More

We stayed at this small, friendly hotel for two nights. We were given a very comfortable room with a huge bed and nice outlook. The view from the dining room is lovely and the food - breakfast and dinner - even better. The owners were welcoming and attentive but not overbearing. Good choices on the menu including a range of... More

We arrived with our fully loaded bikes on a Sunday afternoon having walked and cycled for the best part of 30 miles in the teeth of a severe gale with winds gusting 58mph - a bit of an achievement - to an unfriendly welcome from the owner. This was followed by a more affable tour of the premises and our... More

Booked for 2 nights and stayed for 1 because ferry was cancelled on the first day! By far the best thing about this hotel/Inn is the food. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were outstanding! The seafood platter was the best we had in the whole of our trip round the Western Isles. Bedroom was totally fine.... More

Stayed for three nights & made very welcome. Fantastic breakfasts, with a huge selection of fresh fruit & the most enormous full cooked breakfast, comprising bacon, two types of sausage, grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms, fried bread, baked beans, sauteed potatoes, black pudding & white pudding, with a choice of eggs. For the less gluttonous the kippers were delicious, & there... More

Stayed here for one night. I cannot do anything other than praise the friendliness of the owners. Room immaculately clean. Breakfast great. Dinner freshly cooked using local seafood but, having followed previous guests' recommendation of the paella was disappointed by it - it took me so long to extract the flesh from the multitude of claws that the rice cooled....
