My friends and I were recently visiting the spa and we had good overall impressions, but we feel it could be improved. To break it down a bit:

-The place is nice, quiet. The gardens are wonderful and surely when they bloom more they will be spectacular. There are also hiking trails nearby and Plasencia is relatively close.
-The people at the hotel are friendly and attentive. We had a couple of problems that were resolved and we were very happy. The waitress at the cafeteria was quite charming and the waiter at the steakhouse was the same.
-To eat you have several options:
a) Cafeteria. Basically a la carte with a little bit of everything and very similar to room service.
b) Free buffet. Varied and quite good. Some dishes are pre-cooked, but others are homemade and the offering changes every day, so it's not boring.
c) Grill. He gave me to understand that it is not open all year round, but we found it open and we had a great meal and they were lovely to us.
-Clean rooms.
-Water patio with many facilities, two swimming pools with different waters (one with chlorinated water and the other with thermal water), sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi...

Bad points:
-Needs a facelift. It has small aesthetic details that spoil the place, such as chairs with torn upholstery, a rusty hinge, furniture that looks a bit old... Some treatment rooms have a bit of a sanatorium feel... If they gave it a renovation it would look great .
-It says that the rooms are soundproof but I knew when the neighbor left his room and when my colleagues were awake in the next room.
-The shower is not completely glassed and water can easily leak out, so it is a hassle.
-Different treatments. When there are several people, you can't help but comment if you have chosen the same thing. Some of us were offered several types of scrub while others only two, others were offered the relaxation room to have a post-treatment infusion, while others were sent to the room directly, massages that are supposedly the same but they massaged my entire leg, but for my friend up to the knee.... This is a little confusing.

Note that in other spas they usually give you a questionnaire about whether you have something that prevents certain areas from being touched or because you simply don't like certain parts of your body being touched and not here. For example, I had to tell them that I had an injury and to be careful when giving the massage...

The cleaning ladies were very funny and kind, they always said hello.

Overall it has been a pleasant experience, but I feel that the site could provide better service with certain improvements.

For a 4-star hotel, the food and dinner left a little to be desired in terms of price/quality. Despite being a smoke-free space, the room had a smell of tobacco. Its natural surroundings and spa are valued positively.

I went with my partner to get a massage while I was on a getaway in the area.
I have given a score of 3 for the service, since my massage was 2 and my partner's was 5, still happy because it was a gift for him.
During the contracted 45 minutes they were only spreading oil over my body (like when I put on cream when I get out of the shower) without giving me any type of massage or using any technique, and when I commented on it, it didn't change or improve things either.
I have had several massages in various places, some more humble and others more luxurious and if the person is professional it does not matter the place, the truth is that it has never happened to me to book a massage and not have it given to me, yes, I left very hydrated! Ha ha ha
I think that when I asked if we could both have a massage at the same time, they should have given me a person who was not a masseuse.
In short, I would not recommend it, since it should not depend on chance whether you get someone professional or not.

The Jerte Valley is a leading cherry production area in the Iberian Peninsula. While it is a good destination in any season, there are three highlights every year: the blooming days of cherries (a couple of weeks at the end of March and beginning of April), the month of June when ripe cherries are harvestd from the trees and the landscape of falling leaves in autumn. This hotel enjoys an excellent location and beautiful natural surroundings. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The spa is good enough for those who find relax in this type of facilities despite the noise of water jets and motors. Best is to use as the hotel as a base for walks and excursions in the area. The worst part by far is the kitchen.

The hotel is a 4 stars hotel, but is far from being so.
The room was big but outdated, needs renovation. So was the bathroom.
The dinner was quit poor, a buffet but the selection was minimal and not teasty.
The same I can say about the breakfast.
Bad, very bad - from coffee, to pastry. Every thing seems not fresh.
Regarding the bath - they are good, but needs an urgent renovation.
The hotel staff hardly speaks English and it didn't make it easy to get around.

One good point - excellent location, in the hart of the nature , quite and far from any village.

Have stayed here twice on business. Set right in the Jerte valley, stunning scenery all around, lovely grounds. Rooms are pretty basic, meals are good, service OK.

However, apart from the Parador hotel in Plasencia itself, this is probably the next most expensive in the area, and it seems to cater primarily for older guests, much older! Most of whome seem to spend the day sat outside the bar. However it's always pretty well full so they seem to have tapped into a good market.

You need to keep your eyes open to find the hotel as its well hidden from the road.
One strange thing is the need to go to reception to change the room AC settings?
I would stay here again.

Week ends are busy but very quiet week days. Environment very relaxing, little villages to visit, roman ruins, monastery, impressive landscape with hiking and walking routes. Food is good in general, well cooked.
Spa a bit small.

A nice hotel, in el valle del jerte (caceres) where we had the opportunity of visiting the cherry tree in flower. Hundest and hundred of them! realy nice! The hotel has a spa, that is nice but small. There were allowing visits in small groups to avoid having too many people there. The experince was peasant. People where welcoming. The restaurant is not veru good for a 4 start hotel. They have to improve on that side.

Travelled 620 km to visit this Spa by motor bike!! The spa was cold and there were a few pipes spouting water, the Jacuzzi was small and cold...not a pleasureable experience!!!! We were not informed on checking in that were two areas of the spa the circuit spa was the better of the two but we were unable to use as not included in the room rate. The room is basic and certainly not worth the price!!! Save your money and stay in Plasencia!!!!

I have been to quite a few spas and this is without a doubt the worst, the security of the spa is NIL, no maintenance and very neglected, the staff unfriendly to face the public. A spa cannot have a dry sauna where you step and the wood breaks because in my case it was: bruises, spills and swelling, pain and a visit to the doctor but if the wood happened to cut me or another elderly person it would have been a great problem, and the last straw is asking me to return the ointment that was offered to me lest I stay with it and the hotel will be ruined, I advise you to do a thorough review of the spa for the future. What a disappointment!!!
