Stayed at the Queens Arms with some friends. I was really impressed. The rooms are really comfortable with great amenities and en suite facilities (top quality bedding lots of hot water etc etc). Food and service both excellent. Top end pub food and a very thoughtful wine list. Breakfast locally sourced and beautifully cooked. What’s not to like.

We stayed again for 2 nights to attend the Ladbrokes Trophy cup ( previously the Hennessy ) at Newbury Racecourse……We arrived to a friendly welcome and a gorgeous room / suite ! Their upstairs rooms have been renamed and our was the Blenheim complete with a beautiful picture of Blenheim palace and a GOLD loo….Which was a tongue in cheek nod to the toilet that was stolen from the palace a few years ago 😆. ..We’ve previously stayed in various rooms and they are all done very tastefully and have super comfortable beds. The hospitality was superb and the meals we had were absolutely divine. We always look forward to returning to this beautiful place and it never disappoints! ………The fact the Sam Twiston Davies and Tony A.P McCoy popped in for a drink the evening after the racing and were more than happy to pose for a quick picture just about put the cream on top of this cake and completely made my hubby’s weekend…….We can’t wait to return soon. See you soon Freddie, Sue and your lovely crew

The team couldn’t have done anymore to make our party more Welcome and ‘at home’....from my initial enquiry and chat with the manager, Joanne (?), through you all the guys that served, not just the humans, but the four-legged guests Who were with us...they were all fab... The food was great, well cooked and very nicely presented and sympathetically served by the gang, given the presence of a seven-month old and three doggies....HUGE portions (x2 doggy bags to go!!), what more can I say? We chose the Queens Arms somewhat randomly, trying to find a venue to meet up with our son, his wife and our new grandson, around halfway between where they live (Swansea) and where we are based (Maidstone, Kent)... The Queens Arms smashed it!! Genuinely ... next visit will for sure include an over- nighter... Well done everyone, justly deserved...

Six of us met for lunch and I'd asked for a table in a quiet corner. We had a lovely table, overlooking the garden. Service was friendly and very accommodating of our various wishes and we were not hassled to leave, even though it was nearly 4 by the time we dispersed. Fish and chips chosen by three of us was good and the mushroom risotto chosen by the other three was absolutely delicious.
