Just returned from a five night stay at The Bell Inn whilst working away from home.Very relaxing evenings especially when sat next to the open log fire.Food was delicious and well presented. Landlord and staff very welcoming and really looked after me.Hopefully I'll be working in the area in the future so I can stay again !

Chose The Bell Inn from reviews. On arrival we were not expected (booked via lastminute.com). However the Cook (replacing the landlord) said that there are rooms available and showed us upstairs (we had to carry our own cases). Bannister rail was broken and shabby paint and decoration in staircase. Room was good size, comfortable bed, however, mouldy shower head and...

Visited on Friday night, got a table no problem. The menu was very good, varied and lots of choice for every taste. We had Pate to start followed by Rib Eye Steak and Gammon Steak. Both meals were exceptional, all the food was hot and fresh. I would definitely recommend giving it a visit.

Booked a dinner for my boyfriend's birthday in October, were given a lovely table in a separate section to the main bar, yet could still see and be part of the bar's atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food was amazing - especially the steak! We were staying in a nearby village so asked the bar staff...

A long overdue review of a stay I made at The Bell back in June this year. I turned up just befre the 6.00pm opening time so wondered if I was in the right place until I called on my phone and the landlord welcomed me in. No fuss. Just a good, honest hepful guy who showed me to my...

My husband and I had a meal here just before I was due to give birth to our son In November 2012. We were welcomed at the bar and shown a table in a quiet corner, but we could still see all the goings-on in the bar. The food was fantastic, and being a vegetarian it can get difficult to...

Stayed there twice, one night each time. Very accommodating host, the rooms were clean and tidy albeit not brilliant value for money. The food however was excellent, both the breakfast that is included in the room price but more so the evening food which is very very good - big portions, clearly freshly made, just fabulous.

When I walked in, I was not sure how the food would be but it was excellent. Service great. Reasonably priced and delicious. Definitely a pub to visit again and open on a monday which most round that part seem not to be.

Came to this pub for the first time for a business lunch. We arrived late, just before the kitchen closed at 14.00 and as it was mid week we four were almost the only guests apart from a few regulars. However, they were very accommodating, and the lunch we had was very good. One of us had a proper meal...

My son, his partner and myself stayed on Saturday night, 13th July 2013 following the wedding of my oldest son at nearby Edington. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was excellent. Only one oversight, the coffee, tea and hot drink facility was lacking the provision of UHT Milk or cream!!! I thus had a black...
