Check-in was smooth and our room was ready when we arrived at 2.00pm.
The hotel staff was alert and helpful, coming to the carpark to help with our luggage.

Good to note that SOPs (mask, temperature check, social distancing) were in place and observed by guests and staff alike.

Our 2-bedroom (2 queens & 2 singles) family suite was spacious and clean, with the usual amenities. Being a corner unit, it had two balconies and lots of windows.

Initially, it felt strange not having an AC or fans. Natural ventilation via open windows and balcony works equally well, which was what we did. (if you don't mind the traffic noise)

Though we managed it, 6 persons sharing one bathroom is not ideal. I had read cases of hot water running out mid-shower, and was very relieved that all six of us managed to have uninterrupted hot showers. I liked that the bathroom was big and could easily accommodate a shower cubicle, which would have been more practical. As it is, the long bath is so yesterday, and was not cleaned properly.

Digital amenities need to be upgraded. With multiple handphones, iPads and camera between the six of us, power outlets for charging devices were insufficient.

The breakfast buffet offered nasi lemak, porridge, bread, pastry, fruit and hot meals (noodles, curry, etc). For me, the egg station is more than adequate to start my day on the right note. Anything else is a bonus.

Overall, WiFi is patchy and occasionally weak. Parking was not a problem, though I can't vouch for the weekend.

Throughout our stay, every single Hotel staff we encountered was polite and courteous. Housekeeping was very prompt to bring us items requested.

Will definitely consider staying here again. Located on the main road between Tanah Rata and Brinchang makes for convenient travel to all attraction spots.

Went here on a Wednesday for 3 day’s.
First impression was above average.
The check in and out was good.
But unfortunately when the day we went it was extremely crowded with Locals.
Kids running everywhere and knocking on random rooms. Guest roaming without masks and no sop followed.
But it’s not the hotels fault they did check temperatures and etc.

Room : spacious and cold at night.
The bathroom could be improved as it has stain on every corner not washed well.
Couldn’t use the bath tub as it was dirty.
So just passed it. Would have been great if had a clean tub for this whether.

Corridor was abit musky with wet smell al the time we were there.

Breakfast: repeated menu for the 3 days we were there.
Limited menu and the taste was so so.
Not so great breakfast but edible.

Otherwise this hotel is in the middle and near by a small town so just 5 mins drive you can reach the nearest town with plenty of food shops and banks and mini markers.

Beside this hotel there is a restaurant with amazing food. Especially Briyani and other western food.
Only cash and no card accepted for Briyani.
For the other food minimum spent rm 50 to use card.

Parking was limited but you will be able to find some parking as guests keeps going out and coming in.

Other wise this hotel is okay and I would recommend to others.

For the amenities you need to ask them for tooth brush and etc. They will not provide it unless you ask.

A quaint, cozy hotel with quiet, comfortable, classic-looking rooms. There is no airconditioning or fans in the room because it's pretty cold naturally. There is hot water, luckily, and the bathtub is a huge bonus. Basic amenities are present but I missed the complimentary toothbrush/toothpaste. The frontdesk staff is very friendly, especially Seles, who just brightened up my day. She was also helpful with arranging a tour for me and my friend. Next to the hotel is a steamboat restaurant and souvenir/convenience store, so it's perfect for buying strawberry jams, preserves and other souvenirs. Breakfast is complimentary and delicious, and there is ample parking space. Wifi is free access throughout the hotel but can be spotty at certain areas. The rooms are affordable and definitely value for money. I enjoyed the ambience and vibe of the hotel a lot.

Older type of decor for a hotel room, but most importantly it's clean. The water pressure is good too. We have a junior suite at the fifth floor that have 2 balconies, one facing the main road, the other one facing the mountains and gold course. Quiet room as the hotel is separated from the main room by the car park and a big empty space. Good location too if you have a car, plenty of parking space, it's between the centre of Brinchang and Tanah Rata. Convenience shop and restaurant within minutes of walk next to it. The breakfast if of good quality for the price you pay. We had dinner (steak, lamb cutlet) at the hotel restaurant one night and were happy with the quality and portion. All the staff, the restaurant staff, the cleaners, the counter staff and the gardener are helpful and friendly.

Location :
Frankly speaking if you want to have some happening places, Nova hotel would be a better choice. This hotel is quite far away ; which is in between central of Brincang or Tanah rata unless driving.

Check in:
Paid nearly RM 1300 for 2 nights.
Staffs were friendly and polite.
Hotel offers free parking; but there is no security available.
Check in quite smoothly than expected. But I was only given one access card for 6 adults And 1 kid ..

ROOM:
Was assigned to level 5; nice view from both balconies. Room never equipped any aircon system just like any other highland hotel.
Room comes with 2 single beds; 2 queen beds.
Basic utilities were quite sufficient but only 2 in room- sandals were given for such a big room unless request.
Door handle near balcony was broken ( see pic) seems the room is lack of maintenance.
Shower pin also not working well and you may heard loud water pump noise while retrieving hot water.

Room service hotline not one answering at all time unless several tries.

Worst part- I afraid bed bugs were inside the the room; we were being bitten by unknown insects with huge and serious bumps; especially on my kid’s face, hands and legs. See pictures for more details.

Housekeeping was not prompt delivered too.

Meal:
Breakfasts were quite good at least.
Local and western fusion selection available daily.

Check out:
Fast and furious.

Overall I would say this hotel requires more constant attention and management maintenance.

Dear LCC8585 We thank you for your review and highlights of certain issues that are deemed bad in hospitality services. Yes, we do offer free parking with security camera's installed all over the car park for security reasons which are closely monitored 24/7. The shower pins were ordered before the Chinese New Year holidays and only arrived this morning. It is being replaced as I reply. The room service line will be discontinued and all we will have dial is 1 for Services, dial 2 for Room Service(Food&Beverage), dial 0 for Operator. On your worst part, we too are quite intrigued by this mishap. However, my Associates have checked the room very thoroughly and at this moment we have not found any bed bugs which would deem for us to fumigate the sealed room. All our Associates are being retrained for Guest Experience's

After an epic eight hours drive on Hari Raya eve from KL, thankfully checking in was a breeze with welcoming reception. That's about the only high point of our stay.
Room had an stale odor probably due windows were closed. Fortunately, opening the windows for awhile let in fresh Cameronian air.
Hotel room is showing it's age, stain bathroom ceiling tiles, cracked tikes, rather shoddy plastering around power point, though room reasonably clean. Mattress was rather "lumpy" and lacks support for a good night's sleep. As there is no air conditioning, the cool mountain air is great but later in the night, a noisy gushing sound necessitate closing the windows to dampen out the noise.
At RM 1033.90 for two nights with breakfast is expected for the long holiday stretch.
Breakfast buffet spread, reasonably good variety of local food like nasi lemak, roti, noodles, and continental, nothing outstanding.
Sadly on second morning breakfast, the manager Mr Jeevan came by to ask us to leave the dinning hall to make space for there are others waiting for a table. Perhaps we were just drinking our coffee. We are here to relax and not expect to be hurried. This just leave a poor taste to hurry hotel guest.

The place is 20-25 minutes walk from Tanah Rata Center, which we did not mind and has therefore nicer surroundings than when staying in the town.

Staff at reception and in the restaurant was very friendly.

Unfortunately we were not lucky with the room. It was badly in need of renovation. At least the carpet needs replacement and the wall fresh paint. The carpet was so grubby that you were thankful that hotel slippers were provided. The bathroom was okay, but the bathtub had not been cleaned when we first got the room and was also not cleaned during our stay.
The restaurant was a mixed experience, with a very nice vegetarian Indian dish and another dish with undercooked fish.
Breakfast buffet was okay-ish.

Dear Toni-as-critic, We thank you for your review. We are so sorry for the review of your room. And we are extremely disappointed with your guest experience's faced. Nevertheless, our Associates are being trained further on the issues mentioned. As for the Kitchen, we have spoken to our Associates there to be more attentive especially with under cooking meat/poultry and seafood. Once again do accept our apologies.

Stayed in this hotel for one night. The service was good especially the house keeping. My husband left his wedding ring upon check out and noticed it after about 5 minutes. I immediately called the hotel to inform them. Upon reaching they took us up to our room and the house keeping team immediately went in to check our belongings and returned the ring to us.

However, the hotel itself looks a bit outdated. Especially the bathroom, there were black stains all around. The bed was not comfortable at all. The breakfast spread was nothing great. I’m skeptical if I’ll come back to this hotel.

Ok so don’t expect the Four Seasons. Its an authentic old hotel located in the Cameron Highlands. Great location as a base to see all the sights. Great service.

Price wise, fairly expensive to say the rooms are very dated. Old bathtub & shower, maybe needs an update.

The hotel is located in the centre of both main towns. You can either walk to Tanah Rata or Brinchang in approximately 30 mins but only if you are fit. Not a walk for the elderly or disabled. Other than that take a taxi that is about 10-15 ringgit. There is no grab in the Cameron Highlands.

The view from my balcony was however stunning so make sure to request a room on a high level. However a lot of noise from the road at night. Bed was hard as hell too!!

No bar as Halal restaurant. Can request room service.

Friendly place, friendly staff. Overall I’d recommend for a night or two.

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Hotel De La Ferns. Warm service provided by the staff, the welcome drink upon check-in was a nice touch. The breakfast spread provided had good variety and was quite delicious, well worth the price. Do note that there might be mosquitoes at night so do bring along mosquito repellent for a good night's sleep.

Hi, unfortunately I can’t recall what room we were in... but make sure that you ask for a room on the back, towards the green forest side. Rooms facing the busy main road are not recommended!
