Gerard’s Place has been created with that homely ambiance in mind, offering the kind of peace and tranquility that one will seek for after travelling for days with a big heavy pack on the back in blistering lowlands’ daytime 35 Celsius heat. Gerard’s Place offers 8 tidy, comfortable, and spanking rooms for two, and a room for three.
We were staying 4 nights at Gerald's. The accomodation is in a very good condition and very clean and offers enough space if you need to work remote. The staff is extremely friendly and well informed about hiking trails, restaurants and everything you need to know. The common kitchen is basically equipped, enough to prepare snacks, sandwiches, etc. During our stay we had one minor issue with the shower. For us it was a bit tricky and it took a while to get hot water. Besides everything was great and I can strictly recommend to stay at Gerald's.

Stayed a night at Gerard's Place. Note that this is shared accommodation in an apartment block and you only get the booked room to yourself, and other areas of the apartment are shared e.g. living area, kitchen, and potentially bathroom. The room we had was located down some stairs with no lift, so we had to carry our luggage. The room was clean and tidy but too small for two adults and four suitcases. Would be more suitable for backpackers or those with little luggage. We had a car, so it was easy to get around but otherwise it requires a downhill walk to get to the nearest shops.

We stayed for 3 nights at Gerard's place with Jay as a delightful host. The stay was so relaxing and spacious with a kitchen and cozy living room and even an outside terrace. Jay gave us plenty information about which trails we can do and even brought us to the busstation when we left. She definitely was the highlight of our stay!

We had a great experience at Gerard's Home stay apartment C2. My parents and I love the place, we truly feel the home vibes once we arrived and it's a safe environment. They provide free parking for the guest, bath heater, iron box , hair dryer and water boiler. The bathrooms are hygienic. Neat and cozy bedroom. Restaurants and cafes are nearby. Very well maintained and We felt home for the 3 days as we stayed. We would love to comeback.

A good apartment to stay. Staff is polite and helpful. Apartment is clean. Coffee and tea is provided 24 hours but you need to prepare yourself. Every apartment there is a balcony with a good view to relax with a cup of coffee. Quiet place to stay.

We had a lovely stay at Jay and Gerard’s homestay. It felt like staying with family friends. The rooms and bathroom are clean and basic but perfect for a short stop when visiting the Cameron Highlands. We really appreciated Jay and Gerard’s tips for things to do in CH (we enjoyed the Chinese festival that was happening during our visit!) and were grateful for Gerard’s recommendations for Penang and the Perhentian Islands. The lovely hosts make this place a great choice!

Gerard's Place is unique. It's a guesthouse/homestay and it's a very simple accommodation but perfect for a weary traveller or someone stopping by the Highlands for a hike. It is well located in the town and the accommodation has great views. The accommodation also has great links with Jason - a person who knowledgeable and experienced in nature in the area and who offers walking/hiking tours. What made this place so special was the love that the hosts put in. Jay was an absolute pleasure to meet and talk with and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend Gerard's Place and would certainly come back.

When we arrived at the guesthouse we were warmly welcomed by Bella. She showed us some walking/ tracking routes that turned out to be very nice. When we got into our rooms (with shared bathroom) we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, there was e big sort of living room and dining table and we even had a kitchen. The shared bathroom was extremely clean. The walk to the central place takes about 5 to 10 minutes, not a hard walk but just a tiny bit uphill. All together, I would most definitely recommend this place in Tanah Rata!
